This is replacing a Minosharp that had the fine/pink wheel break after several years. I got this instead of paying 20 bucks to replace one wheel. I think the Minosharp was an 18 degree angle. I am using 16 degree with this one. I took 10 swipes each on course, medium, and polish. After doing that 3 times over a couple weeks the knives are as sharp as I’d hoped. I also used the scissors sharpener. That was a nice added bonus that saved me a few dollars on new pair. Like many I worried about an inexpensive unknown brand sharpener on my good knives.
