Ok so, I've been looking for something to help with my Repetitive strain injury (RSI) on my pinky. I'm a graphic designer and I spend all day holding my hand in awkward positions. My pinky has been hurting so badly that I've considered leaving work just so I wouldn't have to type or draw for an extra day. I researched RSI solutions and a brace seemed to be the ideal fix, BUT I didn't want some giant bulky thing on my finger because I still have to work. Fastward to me going down a giant Amazon internet hole of clicking and trying to find something that wasn't giant and bulky but could still do what I needed it to...and I find this. Seriously, it's PERFECT! It has a nice padding on the inside and I can put it on my middle and ring finger and wrap the band around my pinky and velcro it to my pinky! I've been using it since I got it, and it's made my life so much better! Totally recommend it! I know it's not what it's technically designed for, but it's still perfect. It's held up great and hasn't been super invasive with my hand and my ability to still do my work. It's held up really well and been amazing to have. I don't know what I would have done without it. Before buying these wraps, I read all the reviews. The package contains two wraps. Everyone is different but for me they are very comfortable and protect my toes from rubbing against the top of my shoes. The four star rating is because the wraps do not straighten your toes as stated on the package. A simple and inexpensive solution for avoiding sore toes. For the price, try them. You have nothing to lose. UPDATE 5/24/2014 After several weeks the wraps stretched out to the point I could no longer use them. Looking for another alternative I used a flexible gauze/fabric type Band-Aid which was long enough to wrap around two toes. I placed the cushioned part of the Band-Aid over the raised joint of the hammertoe to protect it from rubbing against my shoes. Fortunately it works just as good as the wraps, if not better, and costs less ($3 for 40 Band-Aids). The non-gauze/fabric type Band-Aids worked also but they did not stretch as much so I had to use two to secure two toes together. This approach may not be a solution for everyone depending on your toe size. Fortunately it does for me so I thought I'd share the info. Read more

I bought this for my mother in law and this is her review: I had been in constant pain when walking for nearly 10 years, due to a middle toe that is twisted to the side. I put this little band on, thinking the sensation of something between my toes would drive me crazy, and was pleasantly surprised that I barely even noticed it. The first few steps after I put my shoe on were pain-free, but I thought it was a fluke. Surely, the pain would return soon. But it didn't. I haven't had a moment's discomfort since I started wearing these more than a month ago. They last about 2 weeks, on average, before the band stretches too much to keep my toe in place, but given the low price, I can live with that. It's much cheaper, and far less painful, than hammertoe surgery! I am beyond pleased with this product, and will continue to purchase them faithfully. Read more

First, the vendor plastered his inventory sticker on the back of the package covering up part of the instructions so I couldn't see exactly how to wrap this device. Second, the loop which is supposed to go around the crooked toe is huge! I mean big enough for 3 toes but it is only meant for one toe. Third when I wrapped the open end around the next toe and over the top as in the illustration it makes a big lump under the toes and the edge digs into the base of the toes. Fourth, unless you have open shoes or really high toe boxes in your shoes, I doubt these will fit comfortably. I cannot recommend this brand but maybe another brand of a similar product would work. These are OK, nice and soft (though they don't last long), and they provide about as much padding/protection for a sore toe as two bandaids, one on top of the other. I'll stick with the bandaids (inexpensive at a dollar store) or occasionally use gel toe caps to protect my hammertoes rubbed raw by the adjoining big toes/bunions. I'm not sure why I bought these, but I wanted to see what they were like. By the nature of their design, the Profoot wraps can never straighten a hammertoe simply by taping that toe to only one other. You need to either use devices that strap the toe down to a pad under your foot or otherwise force it down temporarily. At a fabric store you can buy 3/4" wide velcro by the yard. Cut a longer length of the soft part to wrap around the toes and attach a short piece of the looped part to be able to secure it. Loop it OVER the hammertoe and UNDER the toes on either side of it, then wrap it across the top of all three and fasten on top. The soft part of the velcro is pretty comfy, the toes are protected from rubbing each other, and you can cinch it up to where it WILL bring your hammertoe down into correct position while you're wearing it. Wearing shoes with wide toe boxes, going barefoot as much as I can, flexing the toes with my hands to stretch the tendons, and toe exercises seem to help mine, too. Read more
