I love my new crockpot! Its programmable settings make it so easy to prepare and walk away. The lid stays nice and secure so I was able to easily transport my food on new years. I was missing a foot and contacted the company and Cherry from customer service was quick and helpful in this matter. Can’t wait to prepare more crockpot meals in these negative degree temperatures. The Sunvivipro slow cooker is massive! You can fit a good size whole chicken in this slow cooker easily, if you wanted to. The instructions say to add 4 cups of water to the crock and turn on high for 30 minutes before using. It also says there may be an odor during this process. I did this step and indeed there was an odor coming from this process. After it cooled, I emptied the crock and washed thoroughly. I made 1/2 pork loin in the slow cooker for pulled pork sandwiches. I used the low setting on 7 hours and it cooked it well. There was no odor while cooking. The pork fell apart super easily and wasn’t too dry. Cleanup was easy and nothing stuck to the sides of the crock. The lid lock is super secure for traveling purposes to not make a mess, however, I think the lid lock mechanism is burdensome to use. It doesn’t say in the description or the instructions if you are able to open one side and rest the lid in the open position, but I did that. You must remove the lid on both sides to remove the crock and the crock must be lifted from the front and back edges, not the sides. The buttons to release the lid must be pressed while also lifting the lid lock assembly and I couldn’t do this at once for both sides, so I had to release one side and then the other to actually get the lid off. The lid release doesn’t just pop out. I don’t like how the lid releases but I guess it’s okay to provide lid security while traveling. The digital display is easy to use and easy to read. It’s easy to set it, and forget it, and come home to a cooked meal. Super convenient and great for large family gatherings or large family meals. Read more

This slow cooker has been my favorite. The locking lid is for travel only, please do not lock the lid while cooking. The seal on mine is perfect, it lightly sits on the ceramic bowl and contains steam and heat. Programming it is a breeze, just a few buttons to push and you're golden. This unit is HEAVY. Like, very heavy. If you have issues with lifting things off the counter, this will be hard to use. It's very big. But it's an eight quart machine which is perfect for large meals. Make sure you're using gloves or mitts when checking on this machine while hot. You'll easily get burned. But a simple towel or oven mitt will help. Overall, this is a great quality machine and really good value for the money. Read more

This 8.5-quart programmable slow cooker is a high-capacity powerhouse designed for large families, meal-preppers, and anyone who hosts frequent potlucks or holiday gatherings. While standard 6-quart models often overflow when making a full pot of chili or a large roast, this extra-large capacity allows you to cook for 10 or more people at once without the risk of messy spills or uneven heating. The locking lid is a standout feature, as it transforms the unit from a stationary kitchen appliance into a truly portable food carrier. Choosing a model with a digital timer and adjustable temperature settings is a smart move for busy schedules; the "Auto-Warm" function ensures that if your meeting runs late or traffic is heavy, your meal stays at a food-safe serving temperature without overcooking or drying out. The dishwasher-safe stoneware insert and glass lid make the inevitable cleanup after a big party significantly less daunting. Read more

OK, this is a monster cooker. You can cook for the Super Bowl; heck, you could probably put the whole Super Bowl stadium in this thing. At 8.5 quarts, it'll feed a crowd. We cooked stew for our family of four and even with putting away two big containers for later, it barely filled half the pot. I washed the inner vat by hand before using, and even though it says it's dishwasher-safe, I'd still recommend hand-washing only. For one thing, you couldn't put it on the top rack, and it'll fill most of your bottom rack, which is pretty wasteful in terms of dishwasher usage. The locking lid is a great security feature; our old slow cooker doesn't have this. The programming was simple. We cooked for a little while on the high setting and then set it for eight hours and walked away. The one thing that is disappointing is the inability to brown meats first. You'll have to use your stovetop for that; my husband says at that point, just brown the meat in a big pot and do your slow cooker thing in that pot. But for soups and such, this is a great appliance. Read more
