I cannot vouche for the efficacy of this product (as I cannot for any other protein supplement). It is really difficult to say "PROMIX protein helped me achieve X, Y, and Z," since there so many other variables like diet and exercise. Notwithstanding, I love that there is only ONE INGREDIENT in this protein powder and no fillers. Interestingly we strive to be "healthy" and in attempt to obtain that designation or appearance ingest supplements that have FAR TOO MANY chemicals. My 5 star review is based on three primary factors: (1) that this only contains 1 ingredient, (2) no funky taste, and (3) the serving scooper is so small it's like a pre-workout (not sure if all collagen protein supps are like this). One Downside - the price. This is insanely expensive and just not sustainable if you drink shakes a few times a day. If promix could get the price down and convince people of the benefits of collagen protein, this could be a real winner. Read more

I've read about Collagen and was a bit skeptical of the claims but wanted to try it to see if it would help my knees that are often sore after running or soccer. First, I love how easily it mixes in my morning coffee and barely changes the taste. I've also had it in smoothies and don't even notice that I added it. Results: I take it in the morning and I definitely feel less of deep ache in my knees even after my long runs. This alone is reason enough for me to buy. Added benefits have been that my gut does seem to be less often upset. Often after runs or just after lunch my stomach would bother me. Since taking this 1x/day I have noticed less stomach trouble. Last thing is my wife thinks my hair looks fuller and shinier and I would say it does seem stronger (less comes out when I comb my hair). Worth it? Yes. Will be a morning staple that I keep on hand. I put this PROMIX collagen peptide product in my morning coffee, one full scoop - sometimes I add an additional half scoop. (sometimes I will have a second dose in the afternoon) I take this product to maintain the health of my tendons and ligaments. ...Joints don't hurt and my knees operate as they should! Last year I stopped taking collagen peptides for about 2 months.. about 3 weeks into that EVERYTHING started to hurt, especially my right knee!! I was thinking...what the hell?? Finally, I realized the collagen supplement I had been taking (PROMIX) HAD BEEN making a positive effect in my body. I promptly placed another order for the product. After about a week & half of consuming my new order, I noticed joint pain was receding (now gone) and 2 or so weeks, the knee no longer has pain. I can do squats again. I thought I'd compliment my whey protein powder that I buy from Promix, with this collagen protein. One of the main reasons, was for my joints, since I've started working out full-time again. I take one scoop in the AM and PM. So far, it does seem to help, but it doesn't eradicate joint issues -- pops and creaks are still there, though maybe a bit diminished. I'm hoping it's helping in preventing injury as well, not just my current joint issues. It does seems to help a bit with skin appearance. My only gripe at this point, and it's really one I never have trouble with, with supplements in general, is the taste. I had to mention it because several reviews claim no taste, but it does have a beefy sulfur taste, which hangs in mouth, when I take it with just water at night. I don't want to drink juice before bed, so I need to find another way to mask the taste that I find hard to get out of my mouth -- even after brushing and mouth wash. Because of this, I'd really only give it a 3.5 star rating, but granted, taste aside, if it does what it should, then I can't ding it. Read more
