Wow, I’m giving this five stars because it honestly surprised me in a good way. The Proper Sleep Aid works well and keeps things simple with its ingredients, which I really appreciate. The tub has a clean design and comes with a tiny plastic scoop. There is no noticeable fragrance, which I prefer. The only thing that bugged me is that it does not mix well. No matter what I tried, I could not get it to fully dissolve. I used a frother and even tried smashing it with a fork. A little cloudy layer still floated on top, so I just scooped it out and kept going. When I finished the drink there were still some grains at the bottom of the cup. The texture of the powder reminds me of dishwasher or laundry detergent powders. As for taste, I thought it reminded me of a light flavored SweeTart and I did not find it sour at all. My husband tried a sip and said it tasted like a sour blueberry and thought it was too sour for him, so I guess it depends on the person. For me it was fine, especially since it is something you take for function and not for flavor. Now the part that really impressed me. This stuff works fast. Within about fifteen minutes I started yawning and felt that heavy eyelid feeling hit me all at once. It was almost like the groggy moment when you first wake up from anesthesia. That said, once I fell asleep I stayed asleep the entire night. No tossing, no turning and no weird dreams. I also woke up without the hungover feeling I usually get from other sleep aids. I would not personally take this every day, but I will absolutely keep using it when I need real help falling asleep. You can mix it with water, juice or a smoothie which is nice. It says it is third party tested, although I did not receive any physical proof of the certification in the package. Proper The Blues Sleep Aid: This product mixed well in water and left no residue clumps. The blueberry flavor did taste pretty close to its namesake and was mildly sweet. The results were fairly effective in that I did seem to sleep more soundly throughout the night, though I still had several awakenings. I did seem to experience more REM time according to my sleep tracker watch and the fact I remembered dreaming, something I ordinarily don't do. I did however experience a mild morning grogginess that was likely from the melatonin based upon past usage. Anything over 1 mg I think is excessive and likely to cause this next day hung over feeling and this product contains 3 mg of it. Regardless both the melatonin and other ingredients befitted me more than if I would have taken them individually. The only minor drawback to this product is that as a powder, it must be mixed with a liquid, which is less convenient than capsules and at $25.20, the current price point is a little high for just a month's serving. As a blind guy, the way a sleep aid affects me is very important when considering it. I need a sleep aid to not give me wobbly legs or anything of the lake if I’ve got to get up in the middle of the night to do my business. Natural supplements went out over prescription sleep aids for me for that reason and when a supplement starts with melatonin and magnesium you’ve got me hooked whenever you throw in some Althing and you make it taste good well… I’m in! I will start off by saying that this proper sleep aid has everything in it that I wanted and I had tried another brand that made something very similar to this in hot cocoa the price for that product I’m embarrassed to talk about it sure didn’t justify itself while this proper sleep aid is extremely reasonably priced especially for the amount of minerals you get in it. The superfood qualities, the magnesium, the melatonin help me fall asleep and when I wake up, I don’t feel real drowsy now I know this may be different from you, but this is how it makes me feel and I like it. The taste is good and not overly processed and whether I put this in a glass of cold or room temperature water it mixes up very well, there is a little bit of sediment at the bottom, but no more than I would expect. At the end of the day, the sleep seems to be good, the taste is good, the price is good and the supplement stack is absolutely wonderful. I can’t do anything but recommend this 100%! Read more

This drink powder exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it, even for those not fond of Melatonin, like myself. First, I love all the vitamins and supplements in it. Even if it did not help with sleeping, it would be providing benefits. I also like the idea of spreading out my dosage of daily vitamins. I take my other vitamins earlier in the day and then can finish the day with more. This does come with an expiration date. I receive mine with over 1 year and 9 months left. So it was fresh. Next is the taste. I has a very nice mild blueberry taste. While it is sweet, it also has a crisp tart taste. The powder blends well so that there are no lumps or powdery taste. (I do at the end give an additional swirl to get what powder settles.) There is little to no after taste. All of this for minimal calories and low carbohydrates. It also is very pretty with a greenish blue color, Finally, it does help with a good night's sleep. Magnesium has always been my go to, so I am glad it is part of the blend. I am actually not a fan of Melatonin and usually avoid it. However, this only contains 3mg. Even gummies have more (5mg) with most pills having 12 to 60. So my hope was that I would get some of the Melatonin benefits with little to none of the negatives. This was the case. Of course, many of the other ingredients are great all leading to a better night's sleep the natural way. For all of these benefits and quality, the price point is good. Thus, it is 5 stars. Read more
