Size UP but otherwise great quality and price

I ordered a bunch of different brands of tactical/EMS pants. These ended up being the best for me, although be aware if you are at all even the tiniest bit pear-shaped, ORDER MANY SIZES UP! I normally wear a US 14-16 in pants and ended up fitting comfortably in the 24 pants with a belt to hold everything up on top of the elastic waist (which I surprisingly like a lot - it doesn't feel too bulky or itchy to me). I may take some fabric out of the waistband at some point, although with the belt it seems fine. For reference my natural waist is 35" and my hips are 45" (the corresponding sizes on their waist chart are 14 and 24), so you may want to use the waist measurement for hips as I did. Aside from the rather unhelpful size chart, these are great. I like that these seem similar to the 511 tactical pants with Teflon but with a wider size range and a hemmable 36" inseam (great for those of us over 5'8"). Plus the price is much better! I had no trouble hemming them to 33" inseam on a domestic/home sewing machine, although you may want to sew slowly over the outer seam. Read more

The sizing is way off, and the fit is awful.

I ordered these a size larger, as I like roomy pants. Even then, when I tried them on they were easily 2-3 sizes too small and missed closing by several inches. The waist is short, fitting more like hiphuggers, the thighs are so tight I could barely pull them up, and the unhemmed cuffs were long enough to cover down past my toes by several inches (I'm 5'10"). I wouldn't be surprised if this were a cheap $15 pair of knockoffs, but I expected more for $40 from a brand with such high ratings. Read more

Good pants with some issues.

I bought these for an EMT class and intend to continue using them for working in the future. Good pants overall, but I have a few minor issues with them: --The crotch hangs a little low despite being women's pants, forcing me to wear them higher on my waist than I would have liked. Being 5'2" and wearing a size 12, the legs were originally about 8 inches too long for me. If you are short and a little larger, you will very likely have to completely cut off a portion of each leg, so be sure you actually want these pants and won't want to return them before you alter them. --The material retains lint and dog fur easily, and I had a difficult time keeping them completely clean of fluff and lint. Occasionally they also had white streaks on them even after washing. I'm not sure what they were from, but my other clothes didn't have them, so it's likely related to the material. The streaks were easily removed with a wet washcloth, but it was inconvenient. --I found it a bother to have to wash and dry the pants separately because you shouldn't use fabric softener on them. --The pockets are not quite big enough for an iPhone 6+ with a cover, which is what I own. I had to keep it in one of the pockets with a velcro flap lower on the thigh so it wouldn't fall out, and even then it was still a bit of a squeeze. I'm considering a belt holster but I generally prefer to keep my phone shielded from the elements. --Finally, of the two pairs I ordered, one fit slightly tighter than the other one, despite being labeled as the same size. It still fit, but I definitely prefer the looser one for comfort. However, I did like the pants still and they have served me well so far: --I really liked how many pockets these pants came with. As a woman, I often don't have such a luxury with my everyday clothes. I originally ordered the Propper CriticalEdge pants with 18 pockets in addition to these, but I found that the 9 pockets that this one had suited my needs just fine and that 18 would have probably been way too many. I ended up returning the pants with 18 pockets. --They are a sturdy material, and I don't hesitate to kneel down on concrete and grass in them because I know that they'll still hold up and will protect my legs. --They also are somewhat water-resistant and will cause drops of liquid to bead up and slide down rather than being absorbed so easily. --I like that these came with a belt. I prefer to keep my nicer leather belts for less gritty conditions than those that EMS often entails. Ultimately, these aren't perfect, but as far as EMS cargo pants for women goes, I think these are pretty good among the relatively small selection we have. Read more

Nice, but NOT for a curvy woman's figure

Ordered bigger than I usually wear, but they're still too small. And they are straight cut through hips and waist, so not great for curvy figures. Material is a ripstop, but feels more like a blend than the typical ripstop fabrics. They seem sturdy, and there are lots of pockets. Wish I could've tried them out! I don't think ordering TWO SIZES up would even work. I'm just returning for a refund. Read more

The grey pair fit perfect and were as pictured

I ordered three pairs of these pants. The grey pair fit perfect and were as pictured. (I own several pairs of these pants already). The other two pairs were a complete different design and sit lower on the waist. Fit was horrible and I had to send the other two pairs back. I then looked on the Propper Website and the pants I wanted were the same as advertised on here so I ordered through Propper. Same problem. The pants delivered were a different style. I called Propper and they advised they don't make the old style anymore which is the pant I love and they just haven't changed the pictures to update the styling. Also the new pants were made very cheaply. Pockets were crooked, etc. Propper shipped the pants back to them for free. They advised that was all they had in stock and they were aware of the manufacturing defects. They have since lowered the rise. If you were to use them for law enforcement with a belt and a gun you will probably be very disappointed because they sit too low on the waist. Read more

Good but not the right fit

Not a product if you are a woman with hips or a butt. They were purchased for my 14yr old daughter. She needed them as part of her police explorer uniform. She is not over weight but as her mom is blessed with a shapely lower half. I would figure 90% of women would not fit these due to there natural body shape. We did order up on the size as the other reviews had recommended. We ended up buying the men's pants and having the legs hemmed up. Very durable pants that repel water good just not for shapely women. Also the legs were unhemmed and there was no belt unlike the men's pants. Read more
