I've had a 1TB SSD in my PS5 for about a year now but it's never resulted in any kind of overheating issues. But it does get fairly warm. Decided to request this product anyways and I'll just assume that heat will escape through the mesh covered vent holes. Unsure about dust getting past the mesh and into the SSD area and I'll never be able to offer post-installation feedback on that, because dust is not prevalent in my home. Guess that only leaves how well it fits, how precision it's made compared to the cover that comes with your PS5, looks to be about exact and also well made, not cheap looking. Just don't expect a fancy packaging box because you'll not be receiving one. Sorry for the semi-helpless review, I just wanted to swap the original cover out and offer my PS5 a little heat dissipation. Read more

This is a very simple accessory. Installation requires screwing down a single screw. Everything needed was included and the fit was perfect. The cover feels nice and appears to be well made. It looks good but that doesn’t really matter since it under the PS5 side plate and remains unseen during use. As for heat dissipation? It appears to be working. My PS5 was suffering from overheating ever since I installed an SSD. This overheating would cause the PS5 to shut off suddenly. Since installing this cover, the issue has stopped. Read more

The new cover comes with a precision screwdriver, brush, the cover and a new screw. Installation is a fast and straight to the point as one would expect. It does look nice when installed and has an after market vibe to it, though it will never be seen once the PS5 cover goes back on. Nevertheless, the perforated holes on the new cover will do its job releasing the heat generated by the m.2 drive and passed through to the intake fan of the PS5. In theory the added heat dissipation should help with system stability. The cover is well designed, precision cut, and a visual work of art. Read more

Love everything about this. Came packaged very nicely, included the set screw and screwdriver, and a dust brush. Fit was perfect, edges lined up exact and the screw hole was aligned dead on. The silvery chrome finish is beautiful, it's almost a shame to cover it back up with the console plates (or maybe get some transparent plates). The holes will help with heat dissipation and the dust shield will keep it nice and tidy while doing so. Definitely recommended. Read more
