This stand is just as good and identical to the "official" Sony version. This one has some decent weight to it and seems to be made from chrome metal for the ring. It also has rubber feet to prevent any movement or slipping. I currently have it housing a PS5 Pro and it is solid in vertical placement. It is also cheaper than the Sony version and gets the job done from the first installment (which was quiet easy). Get this one if you need a stand and actually like the design of the Sony official stand. It also fits all 3 version of the PS5, with added pieces to fit the OG PS5. Sony has been hawking vertical stands for its systems since the PS2 days, so I'm not sure anyone should be surprised they are at it again in this generation. And for what it's worth, they have always been simple, functional, and good looking. I think people are salty that the vertical stand for PS5 is now an add-on when it was included with the first generation of the consoles in 2020. However, I've never liked the looked of the cheap black plastic stand, so I'm happy this one works with all currently available versions of the console. It looks identical to Sony's newest offering, has a decent heft to it, and is stable. If you want something more minimalist than the included plastic stand, there's no reason to get the Sony version over this one, which is about half the price. Read more
