Finally, I wear sunglasses again

BluewaveJanuary 6, 2026

I found myself not wearing sunglasses when running to the store, gardening, or to the pool since I knew I would need my reading glasses at some point. These bifocal sunglasses solve that issue. I usually wear multifocal glasses, and it took me a bit to get used to bifocals, but I now wear them all the time when I go out. The tinting is not too strong, and the glasses are quite clear. They come with a pouch, which should help mitigate scratching. Since they are plastic, scratches will occur after some time, and I expect that. This is my first time buying this style of glasses, and the oval shape works better with my face shape than I thought. Plus, the diopter is accurate, and I enjoy being able to easily read and protect my eyes from the sun now. Read more

Comfortable reading glasses for sunny days

A BookReaderDecember 14, 2025

This pair of bifocal sunglasses came with a thin cloth case, a cleaning cloth, and a lanyard I bought these mainly to use as reading glasses when I am out on the patio, but also wanted to be able to use them if I needed to when walking around or driving. They serve reading purposes well but they are impractical for driving – it is too hard to keep the eyes focused above the reading part of the glasses - so I will just use them when I am not moving around much. It may just be that I am not used to using bifocal lenses. The frames and lenses are made of plastic so they are very lightweight, and the nose pads and the temples fit well on my face so they are very comfortable. The glasses don't slip down my nose when looking down. Because the lenses are plastic, they are not as crystal clear as glass lenses, but they are clear enough that I can focus well, and they are not too dark so while they protect my eyes from glare they don’t cut out too much of the light. Overall, I think this is a pretty good deal for bifocal sunglasses. Read more

Convenient Solution for Reading Outside - Handy for the Garden as well!

ChrispyDecember 27, 2025

The Oval Bifocal Reading Sunglasses for Women with UV Protection, Retro Fashion Frame, PT2009 1.5 Diopters by Pubowt fill a need I very quickly discovered after starting to wear reading glasses. Constantly switching between sunglasses and readers gets old fast. I cannot count how many times I have thought, “I can’t read this menu because I only brought my sunglasses.” These glasses solve that problem beautifully. I personally would not use them for driving since I am still getting used to seeing the bifocal portion all the time, but they are fantastic for reading outdoors, gardening, or doing anything where I need sun protection and reading help at the same time. They fit well, are comfortable to wear, and stay securely on my face without slipping. As a bonus, they are actually pretty cute. These sunglasses have been a very convenient and practical addition for outdoor reading and tasks, and I am really glad I picked them up. Read more

Work as described

PammyJanuary 10, 2026

These are decent bifocal reading sunglasses. The screws on the arms of the sunglasses are tight the arms don't swing smoothly, they are not bad but just tight. The glasses shape are ok. You don't get a ton of sun prevention from these but you can be at the park, pool, or beach and read in the sun. These will come in handy. Style is a little out of date but they work. Read more

Awesome bifocal sunglasses without the fishbowl effect of progressive

Customer ReviewDecember 14, 2025

These are better than I expected. I prefer bifocals since I need my contacts for distance and do not like the fishbowl effect of progressive lenses over my contacts. I will be able to wear these sunglasses and when I need to read, I can just look through the bottom bifocal, such as when I need to see the dashboard in my car. I love that they come with a drawstring fabric storage bag, a microfiber cleaning cloth, and a cord so I can wear them around my neck if I want to take them off temporarily. They fit my average to thin sized woman’s face very well. I’m glad I ordered them because they are perfect for my nearsightedness and bringing my low prescription back down to normal when I need it. I had no idea things like this were even made until my optician suggested them for me. Read more

Sturdy, dark sunglasses

NuthatchDecember 15, 2025

This review is for the PUBOWT brand Oval Bifocal Reading Sunglasses Glasses for Women. I use bifocal sunglasses for driving. I have one pair that is no longer strong enough for me to see my navigation screen clearly (for example) or what song is playing on the radio. My other pair was wire frames and got bent too easily. These PUBOWT glasses are the correct strength for me (and come in several diopters). They are very sturdy plastic. The frames/lenses are not too big for me small face, which is kind of unusual to find in generic-type glasses. They are comfortable, and the lenses are adequately dark. You can see the magnified portion at the bottom of the lenses, though, if that is an issue for you. Read more

Classy looking, effective bifocal sunglasses.

CustomerDecember 18, 2025

These are very attractive glasses, quite classy looking. The bifocals work really well, and the lenses are large enough that you can get a good viewing angle for reading or other close-up work. They do a good job at screening out the sun while still being light enough that you can see properly. The glasses open and close smoothly. The hinges do not pull my hair out, something has been a problem with other glasses of this type in the past. I am an average frame female and they fit my face well. I think these might look a bit small for a male face. I did appreciate the little extras that came with it, including the cleansing cloth and the string that goes around the neck. Read more

A wonderful solution for when you need readers outside

Justin ODecember 14, 2025

The women's bifocal sunglasses are great solution if you need readers while you are exposed to bright sunlight. As my wife enjoys reading outside, she has had to compromise in the past by having to either deal with the sunlight or not be able to easily read. She was happy to evaluate these as she wanted a solution to this problem. The sunglasses are well built and they felt durable in her hands. She was able to put them on comfortably with the glasses resting appropriately on the bridge of her nose. While outside she loved that she could read her novel without having to either squint due to a glare nor because the text seemed blurry. Overall she would strongly recommend this to others who enjoy the sun but struggle with their vision. Read more
