I'm not sure why this wasn't a big hit with my 30# heeler puppy. She usually goes for anything with a squeaker, and she generally favors novelty. But something about this toy doesn't appeal to her... the scent, the shape, the mouth feel? It's not that I can't engage her in play with it, but after about a minute she goes to her toy basket and brings back another toy to play with. From the human perspective, the shape of this makes it hard for a hand to get a good grip when playing tug-of-war. Two tags stick out--one was easy to pull off & discard and the other is sewn into the seam--if Riley were more interested she'd probably chew that one off. No other bits that would easily be chewed off by an aggressive chewer. Read more
