These are good quality resistance bands. they are smooth on one side and textured on the other side. The texturing does help add a little grip on a surface to prevent slipping. The small ones are pretty thin so they can slip easily but that is going to be true of any bands that small, they don't have enough surface area to really grip. If you need something like that you may need to look for the thinner film type bands that are wider as these are more of a thicker and less wide band design. They are all labeled which is good so you can make sure you have the right band, it is really helpful if you have other bands around that might be different colors for different weight limits so you don't get confusion and overload it. My only compliant is that the white print on the yellow band is very hard to read. It is much easier to see in the listing picture than it was in person. Printing that one in black would have been better even if it didn't match the set. The tension seemed good and inline with the printed weight range and I have no issues with how then functioned. They also come with some hand grips and a door frame attachment. They are comfortable and good quality and should last as long as the bands do. The bands also come with a carrying bag which is a nice addition, It keeps the handles and door anchor together for when you need them. Overall the bands work well and should be very useful for anyone doing rehab work. Read more

I was very impressed with this set of resistance bands! I was a little nervous when it came in such a small box (more on this in a bit), If I was buying this in a store, I would certainly be skeptical. Upon opening the package, I quickly realized it is just expertly packed, because they really fit a ton of good stuff in a tiny little box. The bands are VERY high quality, no issues stretching beyond the max, excellent grip, durable, versatile. They come in sizes 8-15#, 15-25#, 25-65#, 35-85#, and 50-125#, with each band having it's own color and different size and thickness. I got the set of purple bands for my wife. She said OOOOH that is pretty! and was particularly fond of the 25 and 35# color. The 8 and 15 # bands are really close in color to my man eyes, but the different thickness of the band shouldn't be an issue. I tried the smallest band first. I was a little nervous and a little skeptical because it is so thin. I was worried about it snapping, but the first exercise I did out of the box was an overhead lateral side step. I'm 6'3 and with my giant gorilla arms (I'm +7 on wingspan to height ratio) I can reach well over 8 feet. So I put the smallest band between my feet, and did an overhead shoulder press, no issues. I started doing lateral steps side to side, and I can say I stretched this band probably A LOT farther than you are supposed to and it held up fine. My wife, kids, and I continued to test out the rest of the bands doing various exercises. This is a VERY versatile workout set. It would be perfect for someone who travels a lot for work. Hotel gyms are either nonexistent, or severely underequipped. The hotel i stay at for work has a mini workout place, a pull up bar, a bike, a treadmill, an adjustable bench and a set of dumbbells that only go up to 45 pounds. For me, 45 pounds is less than I would warm up with on bench press. Before I got these bands, I was limited to doing certain exercises or really high rep sets. With these bands, I can add PLENTY of extra resistance to any dumbbell or barbell exercise, even Bench Press, Incline, Overhead press, Squat, deadlift etc etc etc. With the included door stop attachment, you can essentially turn ANY door into a home gym. You can do almost any exercise a cable machine can do, and most things a dumbbell or barbell can do, plus a whole lot more. I've seen some reviews knock this set for NOT coming with an instruction booklet. it was down in the bottom of the bag, maybe they missed it? This one did come with a little booklet with examples of 12 different exercises. There are PLENTY of videos online, instructions, and workout routines if you are unsure of what to do with these. I will be using these MOSTLY to add additional resistance to my main lifts, which is safer in the long run and better for my old man joints than lifting HEAVY weights like I'm 20 yrs old again. If you are newer to exercising, perhaps a little older than the last time you worked out, or you're rehabbing an injury, resistance bands are an amazing choice for SAFE and effective resistance training. These bands will stay in my bag on a daily basis as part of my warm up routine, even in a fully stocked gym. Bands are great for warming up, stretching, and getting the juices flowing, even on a very light set. I have some nagging issues with my rotator cuff and achilles, so I will also be doing ALL of my rehab exercises with these bands. All in all, I am extremely happy with the set. my 1 complaint is the bag they give you is just a little too small. I mentioned earlier they expertly pack the bands into a tiny box for shipping, or as my grandpa would say, They put 10# of (stuff) in a 5# bag!! That's great for shipping, but my MAIN concern is the bag they give you is too small to fit the bands back in. I'm not going to be able to fold up these bands as well as they do at the factory, and the bag they give you is JUST big enough to fit everything if you fold exaclty as well as they do from the factory. Once you take it out of the packagaing, there is no way to get everything back in the bag neatly. Maybe if I spent more time and practiced it I could, but lets be honest here, I'm going to end up finding a different draw string bag to throw these in so I don't have to worry about it. If I wasn't so impressed with the bands, I might take a star away for the annoyance, but in the long run, that is a very minor concern for a very high quality product. 10/10, i would absolutely buy this again and recommend it to anyone. These resistance bands are amazing! 5 different "weights", easy to use and store in the small included storage bag. My son has been using them at home to start his training for weightlifting in the spring. I have been using them to start trying to get back in shape! The do offer good resistance and I feel it after I have gone through a workout. I love how easy and convenient they are and I can use in the comfort and privacy of my own home. Can use these with programs designed for resistance bands, or simply just doing easy exercises on your own. This would also be great for those who have mobility issues, or for light rehab work outs. They fight comfotabley in your hands, and are not so thick that they dig in and hurt. They can be used and transported anywhere. I have also had my elderly parents use them for brief workouts while they are sitting and watching TV. They can sit and do some movements to keep active while in the safety of their home. Highly recommend these! Versatile, easy to use, easy to store, easy to hold, easy to wipe clean! Great item! Read more
While I impatiently wait for the space to have a Tonal, these do seem like they'll make for a good strength workout. Work out bands are great even for those with the smallest apartments. I'm still learning how to use these properly, but I can definitely say that the bands are sturdy and solid (maybe a little too solid) which will go a long way in making one feel confident that you will #1 build strength with these and #2 that they won't snap while using. I'm used to those insanely thin ones you get from a physical therapist and I was always uncomfortable using them, I don't feel that way with these. They are very, very thick. I started with the 15-35 lbs band and expect once I pick up a proper routine, I've be fit and strong in all the right places. I do wish there were some smaller ones, as I don't think I'll get much use out of the larger ones. Keep that in mind if you're like me - middle aged female with some joint pain - maybe a set of lighter weight ones would have been better for me. The weights are clearly labeled on the bands themselves and come with a pouch to store them in. Read more
