First off, I really liked the packaging of this product. The tube is shiny and sleek looking. The lipstick is highly pigmented, and I was able to get full coverage with the first stroke. As for my dislikes, the color Nude Peony looked orangish on me, like more of a salmon/coral color rather than the soft, nude pink tone I was expecting. The Pupa Milano Petalips Soft Matte Lipstick glided across my lips effortlessly and smoothly. The color is a beautiful shade of pink but is noticeably softer in person when compared to the product photos depicted on Amazon. When I wore it, I found that it was present but faint against my light-medium complexion. I found that when my sister tried it, it looked stunning on her light-pale complexion. When wearing the lipstick it was very moisturizing and the matte finish felt very soft and comfortable on my lips. It did not feel dry or noticeable when wearing. The color lasted for several hours without the need to re-apply. When it comes to removing, it was easy to remove with either a make-up wipe or cotton ball and make-up remover. The tube is sleek and snaps shut securely so there is no worry of any mishaps in either your purse or make-up bag. The lipstick is Made in Italy. I really loved the way the product felt when wearing. Despite this color not working for me, I feel that it is a wonderful product and I am inspired to look for and try a darker color from this manufacturer. Read more

This comes in a small outer product box that is sealed in plastic wrapping. It is made in Italy. The ingredients are listed on the side of the box. The brand is supposed to be cruelty free, but in the ingredients it says it “may contain” “CI 75470 (Carmine),” which isn’t cruelty free. So, not quite sure how that works? It comes in a nice tube that is mirrored, so it constantly has fingerprints on it 😂 I hate that about reflective packaging! It’s lightweight. The cap stays on it well. I’m not a huge fan of matte lipsticks…I’m pretty picky about which ones I like. When it comes matte vs shiny lipsticks, it seems either way I’ll be reapplying something - lipstick or lip gloss. So, I’d usually rather just go with a shiny lipstick that’s moisturizing and just have to reapply it more often than a matte one that feels too drying on the lips where I need to continually add lip gloss. BUT, there’s a few matte formulas that I am able to comfortably wear (where as soon as I apply them, it doesn’t feel like every once of moisture has been sucked from my lips and I just NEEEEEED to give them hydration!). This one was described as a “soft matte” with the “comfort of a balm with a matte finish.” It said it felt lightweight and was “ideal for comfortable all-day wear without the risk of chapping your lips. The formula is not overly drying, so your lips will look plush and feel great all day long.” That sounded PERFECT! So, I was excited to try it! When applying it, it has a very smooth, creamy feel to to it. It glides onto the lips really easily without feeling gritty, stiff, or dry. Once on the lips, it doesn’t feel heavy. It’s as if there’s nothing on them at all! It is matte, but it is definitely a comfortable matte like they claimed. My lips don’t feel extremely dry after applying it. I can comfortably wear this on its own or apply a gloss over it. It has nice pigment. I got the shade “001 Pink Magnolia.” It’s a beautiful pink shade as shown in the product photos. It’s a softer, kind of nude pink. It’s a great everyday shade for me! Overall, I really am impressed with this formula! Like I said, I’m pretty picky when it comes to matte lipstick formulas. There’s only a select few formulas that I feel are comfortable to wear, and even less that I feel comfortable to wear on their own. This is comfortable to wear with a gloss or on its own! I love it! At $20, it’s a little pricey. I’m the kind of person who just feels there’s no reason to pay more than drugstore type pricing for certain things, and lipsticks are one of those things. I just feel there’s so many drugstore priced options that work well, why pay a higher price? BUT, really, even drugstore prices are getting a little crazy nowadays 😂 But, even with higher drugstore prices these days, lipsticks are usually still much cheaper than $20. BUT, since I’m so picky about my matte lipsticks, that’s one area I’m willing to spend a little more on as long as the formula is worth it! This is definitely worth it! It’s such a comfortable formula! I’ve been wearing it a ton, which isn’t usually the case for me! Usually, even the few matte formulas I owned and loved before I got this one, I saved those for times I needed my lipstick to last a good amount of time without worrying about reapplying it often. But this one, the formula is so comfortable I’ve been reaching for it even when I’m not worried about how long my lipstick will last! You know when you try something without real expectations, and then you love it? So much that you can't wait to tell everyone else? That's this. It goes on like chap stick, a little waxy and very moisturizing. But there's color to it, and you can put on a few coats to make the color more noticeable. I don't usually wear makeup when I run errands, but I do apply a little powder foundation because of its SPF (I live in south Florida so that's important). If I'm looking really pale, I might add a swipe of blush. I add the chap stick just because my lips are always dry, but it does nothing for my appearance. You can't imagine what a difference just a hint of lip color makes! And in no more time than it takes for a balm. If you eat or drink it will (mostly) come off. It's not an all-day sort of thing, and if you're actually wearing it as makeup then you'll want to add a coat of lip gloss unless you love the matt look. So no, this isn't lipstick and I don't think it's meant to be. Just tinted lip balm. Really GOOD tinted balm. Love it! Read more

My daughter is wanting to start wearing lipstick, but she's still rather young. I'm starting to let her branch out, but want to keep the color (and shine) on the more conservative side. She really liked this color (Elegant Camellia) while shoulder cruising me, so we went for it. It's a nice tube of lipstick, and doesn't seem to have much of a fragrance (she reports no taste, as well). The color is subtle, which makes me happy. She likes how it makes her lips feel; I did a hand test and it was nice and smooth. It does pull off a matte finish. My daughter is enjoying this, but at this price point, I don't know that we'll buy again. Read more
