This is an overwhelming baby gift. In the world I live in, babies usually wear a lot of thrift or hand me down clothing, and those things are indeed a blessing. If you're questioning whether the numerous items are actually good quality, let me assure you they ARE. They are the softest, high quality baby things. Especially for newborns PureComfy are the ones I prefer. I have fallen in love with the high quality "bamboo" knit baby fabric, that is super soft and it really IS absorbent like they advertise which contributes a lot to it being extremely comfortable. Newborns' skin really is tender. Soft surroundings are one of the keys to a less fussy baby. Everything is well sewn, and yes of course it machine washes well. Babies are also messy. There is actually a little product booklet with the set that points out the obvious that the things will get stained (lol) and gives thoughtful laundry tips. This set includes 21 beautifully presented PurComfy items: baby mitts and hats, a drool bib and a burp cloth, swaddle blanket, short sleeve and long sleeve onesies and pants, and sleepwear. My favorite thing is the sleep sack/wearable blanket, as I've owned PurComfy sleep sacks before and it's just the cuddliest thing. Unlike a conventional blanket, a wearable blanket cannot wrap around the baby's face and obstruct his breathing. There is just less to worry about with a blanket that can't slip off and can't wrap around the nose and mouth. It is just plain more practical to keep them comfy. Has a double zipper that can zip down from the top and up from the bottom for diaper changes. The baby wears a onesie underneath. It's hard to criticize this set in any way but because it's so comprehensive there MAY be some pieces that are less useful because of the time of year and temperature conditions, or reasons of that sort. Families are likely to use every single item. It's a well curated, practical set. It's a great value. And as large a set as this is, nevertheless now that you're so spoiled you're extremely likely to get ideas about even more PurComfy items you'd like, like more burp cloths, etc, and most especially larger sizes for the growing baby, like a super soft snuggly sleep sack, because you really are going to like the quality, comfort and practicality.
