Somewhat stiff like most putty knives; it has some flex. I have a few that are very flexible - this is not one. I have not used the hammerhead feature (it seems like you would still need a nail set, even if the hammer could be left behind for finishing nails, I think a spring-loaded nail set is likely better). Hammerhead an added plus; I use it often. Blade is flexible but great for getting putty into difficult areas. Blade is tough enough to use for scraping also. Read more
