I was hesitant to purchase this mattress topper due to it being around $100 less than comparable wool mattress toppers. (More often than not, you get what you pay for.) In this case, I got better than I paid for! It is very thick, fluffy, and well-constructed. High quality cotton covering. It is perfect. I can’t imagine getting anything better, even at a much higher cost. I am using it on a medium-firm natural latex/inner spring hybrid mattress that was a bit too firm for my comfort. This wool topper adds the perfect amount of pillowy softness. (Side and back sleeper.) I have always used down/featherbeds, but got tired of having to fluff every day and it also became more difficult to do as I get older. While this wool topper does not have that initial sink down in a cloud feeling that the feather bed has, the comfort level is the same, but without being flattened out in the morning. Research tells me that wool toppers will compress 10-15% early on and 30-40% over long term. This topper arrived 3” fluffy thick so I don’t feel concern about overly flattening with compression. I tend to be a hot sleeper and I have zero problems with this topper. Quite the contrary: It seems to be regulating my temperature. No more hot nights! I have not used the elastics to attach to the mattress, as I put it under my fitted sheet. I have had no problems with it moving on top of the mattress. Really nice pillow top layer. I use mine on top of an older Casper (all foam) mattress. I got hot in the night and I sleep on my side. This made both my shoulder and my temperature much more comfortable! Read more
