Bought these for a universal studios, island of adventure, and volcano bay week long trip with my wife. They were so inexpensive compared to the park prices for lanyards to store your park pass, hotel room key (used as express pass), etc. I figured that they may be cheap quality because the price was so low, so a 10 pack would be more than enough to use as a daily disposable lanyard. HOWEVER, these were terrific quality and we each only used one for the entire week (two total) and they held up phenomenally even with some pretty hefty abuse getting in and out of rides continuously and having lapbars and other restraints putting pressure on them (we secured them to our belt loops with the carabiner clips). Retractable badge holders break all the time. If you can get one that lasts more than a few months it's a miracle. That's why I bought a 10 pack. I figured with the 10 of them I wouldn't have to buy more for a year or two. In the end, I've used 1 for 2 years with no issues so I'm still using the first, kept 1 as a spare and don't have to store the rest. These are great! Read more

These are a very popular item with our employees who need to carry access cards with them so they don't get locked out of our secure office. They prefer these over the lanyards. This particular type has two clips one for clipping on to your waistband and another that is more like a carabiner clip, it also comes with an attached keyring. However, while unclipping from my waistband the other day, the clip came off so not sure how sturdy they are. We just received them and no one else has complained. One out of 30 isn't bad! Purchased these retractable badge clips for our office. They’ve worked quite well for the past year — none have broken and no issues/complaints from staff. For us, they are used to hold door access keycards and other ID badges. The badge reel mechanism is sturdy and extends/retracts with ease. The string is a good length and allows easy movement of keycards. The fold over clasp mechanism is solid and does not release randomly. Lastly, the device provides versatility— it can be worn on a neck lanyard or clipped onto one’s belt/pants. Overall, these are quite functional and I will continue to purchase more of our office use. This product is useful, but cheaply made. I'm glad it's a 10 pack for 2 people. My kids use these for their school id's. The convenience of these as opposed to lanyards is obvious. However, these are fragile and easily broken. It's a great deal for what you get though. We have gone through 4 already in 2 months. Read more
