These mid thigh boots are surprisingly comfortable given the tall thin heel. They are synthetic leather, and I would have given them five stars had they been priced a little bit lower. I've seen very similar boots priced at least 15% less. That said, they're well made with a partial zipper for functionality. Typically I wear wide calf boots, however with nylons to reduce friction I am able to wear these boots, as they do have some stretch. The heel even though it is tall and thin, feels sturdy. I’m 5'7" and usually wear a size 9 with a standard-width foot. These boots look gorgeous out of the box — sleek material and nice detailing — but the fit is tighter than expected. They feel borderline uncomfortable around the foot, especially after wearing them for more than a short period. If you’re between sizes or have wider feet, I’d definitely recommend sizing up. In terms of length, they hit just above my knee, not quite reaching true thigh-high territory as advertised. I was hoping for a bit more height for that over-the-knee look, so that was a little disappointing. These are very attractive and come to right above my knees. They're lightweight, and even have some cush on the inside soles. I ordered up a half size due to the pointed soles. The boots are pristine and have a nice high heel. I'm not having any sizing issues with the calves. The boots came individually encased in their own wrapper, with styrofoam inserts inside to preserve shape. The boots are very comfortable, and the faux leather is very subtle and flexible.
