I bought this vest to help calm my nervous system to prevent sensory or autistic overwhelm. I love it so much. I got a medium, which is a little snug over my belly (I'm 5'2" and 160 pounds) but zips up easily with the perfect amount of pressure against my body. I wish I had spent the extra money for the more neutral black color, but didn't want to risk more cash on an untested (by me) item. I'll also note that when I purchased this on Amazon, it was listed for ab out 40% less cost than the manufacturer's website for the exact same product. It's $20 less than MY price now at $119 for this raspberry color. The vest is effective-- at this weight, I notice an instant sense of relief as I put it on and then forget that I'm wearing it. This was a problem on my first full day with it, though. Like many folks with sensory processing differences, I also experience chronic pain and didn't think about the consequences of wearing several pounds around the house and then out trick-or-treating my daughter. After 4 hours of wear, my neck and shoulders suddenly seized on me 1/2 block away from my house at the end of our walk. Now, I try not to wear it for more than an hour at a time and pay attention to how sensitive my body is to exertion at that time. I've had no problems since then. It's very well made. So comfortable. It fits great and the weight is evenly distributed. The color is even nicer in person. I wanted the black one but it was a little more.
