I’d heard of Quay, and my Dad even wears Quay sunglasses, but I’d never tried them. I had the same sunglasses by a luxury brand for the last 15 years until they broke a few months ago. It nearly killed me (and my bank account) when I went to replace them with the same brand. I vowed that I’d never spend that much again and needed to try other brands. Since then I’ve tried so many brands - from clothing store sunglasses to mall kiosks. I don’t have particularly sensitive eyes or sight, but I swear that any sunglasses under $100 had distorted lenses or were terribly uncomfortable. Amazon knew I was on the hunt for new sunnies and recommended these. For the price, I thought they’d be kind of cheap feeling, but I was wrong!! They arrived in a box within a box, and well protected with air pillows. The actual glasses come in a “pinch to open” type soft shell case with some info and a microfiber cloth. They are stylish, and big enough to block sun from all sides without looking “buggy” and feel very sturdy. My first thought when I picked them up was that they felt heavy. They don’t feel heavy in my face at all, but they are sturdy….like they won’t break if they fall off or you drop them (I accidentally tested this, and they didn’t break after slipping off of my sweaty face and falling about 10ft onto dirt). There isn’t any distortion in the lens and the ombré shaded lenses are subtle, balanced and effective. They don’t block out so much sun that you can’t see well, but are dark enough to make sitting in the bright sun at an outing bearable. I prefer the ombré light/dark lenses of these to the solid dark of my luxury shades. I got the brown version and brown lenses don’t overpower the colors you see…if you know what I mean lol. There is a warranty on them as well, which is awesome! The price is more than fair for the quality and I’ve been converted for life! As long as you take care of these glasses, they should last a decade. This review is for the Quay sunglasses. The photos have these glasses compared to other sunglasses that I own that are very similar - I guess you could say I like this style of sunglasses. The first thing that stands out clearly to me is the quality of the lense. The lense is very shiny upon just looking at the glasses as well as when you wear them. The sight you see seems clearer than any other sunglasses that I own. As you can see in the comparison photos (Quay are the ones on the top of all photos), these glasses are larger in size which is nice if you are looking for face sun protection. It’s also flatter than the other glasses, so these may sit farther away from your skin than others. The only reason I docked a star is because these make me dizzy and I lose my balance when I wear them. My other sunglasses are not polarized, so I’m wondering if that’s what’s causing my problems. I am not sure, but I’ve noticed it from the first time I put them on and still notice it to this day. For that reason, I can only wear them for short periods of time, which is a bummer because I prefer these glasses more than any other I own otherwise. Read more

I am so glad I decided to get these Quay oversized square sunglasses! The moment I put them on, I could tell they were going to be a staple in my wardrobe.
