I've been using this high quality mattress protector on my hybrid memory foam mattress (with integrated cooling technology). The mattress protector doesn't impede the cooling effect of my mattress, it's actually better than the encasement protector that came with my original mattress purchase. This protector is soft, breathable, and noiseless. There was a subtle "new" smell after unpackaging, but it dissipated quickly. I haven't spilled anything on it yet, so I can't report on its waterproof effectiveness. this is a wonderful pad! it is soft and plush, and sheets do not slide off which was a problem with the other pad i purchased. it is easy to put on and fits well on the king size Tempur-pedic bed even when adjusting the feet and head settings. Read more

This was an excellent mattress topper made out of bamboo since I’m not a huge fan of petroleum products. It was quite soft. I wish it had a cooling feature, but I have not gotten hot using it. I haven’t had a chance to try the waterproof thing yet, but I’m sure it would work. My favourite part is that it doesn’t feel like plastic and it doesn’t make you sweat. This is a very good quality mattress pad. It was a decent value for the money, and was easy to install. It seems like it will be protective of the mattress, although I didn't spill anything on it to test it. I like that it is made of bamboo, a renewable resource, and I think it will be long lasting. It is very comfortable to sleep on, and it is definitely much cooler than the last mattress pad I had on the bed. If you're thinking about buying this one, I recommend it. Read more

I love the way it looks and I especially like the elastic mesh that holds the cover on the mattress. It’s very large so it holds the cover to the mattress. Most covers only have 6-8” of material to tuck under mattresses and they always end up pulling out. This cover has several feet of material/mesh to tuck under the mattress. My mattress is a cal king size and it fit perfectly. My mattress was made with absorbent material so it got dirty. I cleaned it the best I could using baking soda, vinegar and a tiny amount of detergent. Large stains were mostly removed. This cover makes my mattress look even better than new. I like the feel of the mattress cover and that it has a quilt like look. As for being waterproof, stay tuned. I don’t want to dump a pail of water on it to find out if it’s waterproof. But if anything ever spills on the bed I’ll update this review to let you know. My general thoughts: This is the best mattress cover I’ve ever had and it’s well made. Read more

I got these for my split California King bed. They fit perfectly. I didn’t feel like they had a bad smell as some items that have a plastic barrier. However, I always wash items before I use them. The “plastic” barrier is more of a light rubbery barrier that keeps the mattress dry. I don’t feel any cooler or hotter using them. There is a bit of thickness to the top with elastic all around and stretchy sides that keep them on the mattress. Read more
