Gave me the bed of my dreams!
I want to make a few points, so I apologize in advance for the long review. To give you a little insight into my experience with bedding, I have a 3" memory foam pad and a 3" shredded memory foam mattress topper on my 1" plush pillow top bed. I'm a firm believer that our bed/bedroom should be a sanctuary of extreme comfort and I've worked hard, have done a lot of research, to make mine as cozy and comfortable as possible. The reviews of this Queen Rose mattress topper are very mixed, but the description and price point (great bargain!) checked all my boxes. I was looking for a non-memory foam plush pillow top mattress pad to put on top of the other pads I already have on my bed. After reading all the reviews, and the reviews of other mattress toppers, I ordered this one and kept my fingers crossed until it was delivered. As soon as I opened it I started writing this review in my head because I was so pleased with my purchase. The topper came quickly and was very nicely packaged. The outside packaging is a very thick plastic burlap-like bag that's virtually impossible to tear, which I was pleased to see because I prefer that nothing outside my home touches my bedding. Once I got the outside package open, the topper was inside a thinner plastic bag, (both were recycled as trash bags), then inside a very thick plastic vacuum sealed bag. Upon opening the vacuum seal the topper immediately started to expand. I own a lot of memory foam products so I'm used to this process, but, since this isn't memory foam, and based on some of the reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. The instructions say to let the pad sit for 72 hours, but I didn't need to. The first thing I did was spray it with Lysol fabric spray, then I spread it out on my guest bed. About an hour later I saw that it had expanded quite a bit...it was very big and really heavy, but, per the instructions, I shoved it into my dryer to give it more fluff. Fifteen minutes later I carried it to my bedroom and started laughing when I put it on my bed because it's SO FLUFFY!! Adding this mattress topper to the 7 inches of padding already on my bed FINALLY gave me the level of plush I've been trying to achieve for a few years. My goal has been a little support with a lot of that sinking into a pillow feeling. Thanks to this amazing Queen Rose mattress topper I have the bed I've been dreaming about without spending thousands of dollars on a new mattress. I finally get to sleep on a giant marshmallow! In regards to some of the reviews... My quest for a marshmallow bed has taught me a few things. Memory foam is a wonderful thing, it is extremely comfortable, but shredded memory foam requires work - a lot of work - it requires fluffing after every use. Yes, this is a pain, but I've discovered that the comfort of memory foam is worth it. And, in regards to this Queen Rose mattress topper, while it's not memory foam, it helps to give it the same level of fluffing to make it extra comfortable. Trust me on this fact - I have a six foot shredded memory foam bean bag where I do all my reading, which is a lot, it's like sitting on a cloud, but I have to work the foam after every use in order to keep it comfortable, and it's worth the 5 minutes of maintenance. The same is true of this Queen Rose mattress topper...you can put it on your bed without expelling any energy to fluff it, or you can work the filling for a minute or two minutes and sleep like a baby on a cloud. The fit: This Queen Rose mattress topper has sturdy straps for holding it in place. They stretch quite far and fit my deep mattress (plus the extra topper padding) with no problem. I didn't need to put any muscle into pulling them down and under my mattress corners. Also, I have very deep pocket sheet and there wasn't any issue with the fit with this topper in place. In fact, I now have about 9" of padding on my mattress and my deep pocket sheets fit without any slipping or noticeable difference at the corners. If you’re looking to add extra plush and comfort to your mattress, this Queen Rose plush pillow topper is a game changer. It will add comfort and incredible coziness to your bed. It fits great, it is well made, it's very soft to the touch and the price point makes it a no-brainer. I absolutely, without hesitation, recommend this mattress topper. Sweet dreams! Read more
