Okay so I cleaned this real Dyson part and apparently broke it somehow and needed a replacement. The brand new replacement is over 100$ closer to 200 and out of stock ! Came on Amazon hoping this wasn’t a scam and it’s not! It work! And it rolls too. The only ONE difference is there is no carpet switch setting that lowers or heightens the roller. If you have a dyson you know what I’m talking about. But that’s fine I’d rather save $$$ and just push my foot on top of my low carpet / rugs when needed. The rolling back and forth part isn’t as smooth either like the original. But that’s being really picky. I am so happy I found this part and would highly recommend. It clicks in seemlessly, the colors match the vaccuum, it sucks up the crumbs just as good and it’s all clean and new. Read more

This looks exactly like the Dyson head that came with my vacuum and it works exactly like the original. The original had just worn out and wasn't turning anymore, this was a great way to cheaply extend the life of my very expensive vacuum. Seems very durable and is easy to clean. Read more

This replacement head works well. It is a little larger than the one that came with my Dyson v6 (I think that’s what I have). There is a larger space between the roller and that back of the housing, there is also a stiff fin that I am assuming keeps particles from kicking out the back, which was an issue with the original. It seems a little looser, moves around more on my tile floor but still did a great job picking up small debris. Overall it works really well, possibly better than the original, but I’d been using the original with sheared off bristles for a while so I may just be getting a good clean for the first time in a while. I had this vacuum head for my Dyson V8 about a month now, and I have to say it's a good fit. The vacuum head, in particular is incredible efficient. It effortlessly glides over both carpet and hard floors, picking up everything from pet hair to fine dust with ease. It swivels nicely, allowing me to reach under furniture and into tight corner without hassle. The suction power is also impressive, even on the standard setting, it pick up dirt that I didn't ever realize was there, and when switch to the max mode for more stubborn messes, its like a mini tornado sucking up everything in its path. Overall. the vacuum head has exceeded my expectations, it's lightweight, powerful, and makes cleaning less of a chore. If you are looking for a reliable and affordable vacuum head cleaner, I highly recommend giving this vacuum head cleaner a try. Read more

It does fit well and work, however it doesn’t “stick” to the floor as the Dyson head did for me. It more glides than sticks. It seems to be sturdy, but I only use it on my wood floors. When I tried on my living room rug, it wouldn’t vacuum even on the eco setting. I’m still impressed with how well it picks up dirt and dust. Read more

It's a shame that the manufacturer decided to cut-corners by attaching the wheels directly to the body using just a screw for the axle vs high quality steel ball bearings the original brush head that came with your vacuum uses to attach the wheels to the body. The unfortunate result is a lot of friction between the wheels and the body, so on wood, laminate and tile floors (ie slippery surfaces) the wheels don't turn at all.. you just drag the unit across the floor which will eventually scratch wood and laminate floors. In addition, the original equipment brush head's wheels use some sort of rubber coated plastic which gives the wheels a grip to the flooring and prevents the brush head from swinging side to side on slippery surfaces like tile or laminate. This unit uses just plain hard plastic for the wheels (without the rubbery coating) .. so they have no grip on the hard surfaces and the head just swings all over the place... again something that will eventually lead to scratching your wood or laminate floors. If you only have carpet floors, this unit serviceable as it has decent beater bar motor power and it doesn't restrict suction.. but since they simply attached the wheels to the body with a screw vs ball bearings.. the wheels squeak when they turn on carpet which is annoying. It's unfortunate all the issues with this unit have something to do with the wheels because it's got sufficient power, it turns smoothly at the joint and connects to the extension tube perfectly. If the manufacturer did a quick redesign adding wheel bearings and a rubbery coating over the plastic wheels they'd have a winner on their hands! Read more
