Outstanding Set of Whiskey/Old Fachioned Glasses
Our old set of glasses like these had become cloudy and worn over 20 years so when we moved I decided to get rid of them. Finally, I decided to shop around and found this set of eight for a decent price. I think I was expecting 'ordinary' but instead got 'extraordinary'! These glasses are solid, with good weight to them; you feel like you have quality in your hand. The glass is crystal clear and of a quality that I am proud to store them in my china and crystal cabinet. The flutes carved in the exterior of the glass give them an elegant look; the pictures in the product page don't really do these glasses justice. You get eight glasses and at this price if I break one or two it's no big deal...it's like getting high quality crystal at a workmans cost. One con, if you could call it that, is that the glasses are extremely slick and slippery, and they can slip out of your hand if not paying attention. Not a big deal, but does need mentioning. Also, I learned my lesson with my previous set of glasses: I only hand wash these to keep them as pristine as possible for as long as possible. They are dishwasher safe as far as I know, but I have ruined other glasses in the past so no thank you. Overall, a great buy and I am extremely happy with them. I think you will be too. Read more
