I was a little reluctant to order this, sight unseen and without trying it on, because I'll be wearing it to my granddaughter's wedding. But it fit perfectly, and the fabric is so soft and comfortable. I'm 5'7", 165 lbs. and I ordered the XL. The length of the pants is perfect, but the jacket is longer than pictured, and a little longer than I desire, so I'll have it shortened a couple of inches. This item is not new. It has deodorant on the top, underarm area..now I’ll need to take it to the cleaners before using. Too bad because it’s a very pretty garment. Read more

This outfit is really and truly beautiful!!! The photos seriously do not even come close to doing it justice. It has the sparkle and shine of sequins, and is absolutely stunning in person. Indeed, I was very much surprised at how elegant and eye-catching this outfit was. That being said, I was unable to keep what would have been the perfect outfit because the manufacturer did not take into account the fact that some plus-size women may carry some extra flesh on their arms. I can only compare this to trying to stuff a big ol' ham into a tiny piece of stretchy netting, but this had absolutely no stretch at all. I did not dare try to cram my beefy arms all the way into the jacket for fear of either getting my arm stuck in there or tearing the jacket since the fabric did not have any "GIVE" at all. An inch or two of extra room would have made a tremendous difference. Heck, I even tried going a size up and the sleeves turned out to be just as snug and painfully uncomfortable. So disappointing. Hence, even though the outfit is as pretty as it can be, I am detracting one star for the disproportionate sizing of the sleeves. I might add that the outfit is otherwise well-constructed and of high quality, but it is made of 100% polyester and, even though the jacket appears to be light and airy, it does not "breathe" at all, making it a bit warm for the dog days of summer. I have owned an R7M Richards Pant Suit I bought in New York 25 years ago. It was a classic. Wore excellently. Machine wash, hang to dry and ready to go. This outfit was cut very differently. The pants were very long considering they were marked petite. I found the jacket to be a bit scratchy. Ultimately, I returned it, as I didn't have time to alter it for the event I needed it for.
