This opener opens a bottle quickly and easily. Although my tiny wife says it takes too much strength. I can remove the cork in about 3 seconds and the unit looks great too. I also have the Rabbit electric wine opener. And though I like it even better than this one, it did not have enough battery life to last long on my bar. After opening maybe a dozen bottles the battery dies right in the middle of an operation! This leaves the cork stuck in the bottle with the opener attached. There is a hidden panic button that can be used to release the cork, if you know about it. But then you have to find an old micro USB charger and wait till it's charged again. I had one for years that got lost while moving and recently replaced it with the same product because I enjoy it much more than a traditional manual opener. We have had this item for 4 months. We liked it at first, although we were a bit concerned that it is almost entirely plastic. But very easy to use. We use it as directed, just at home, not any type of commercial use. Today, a piece, like a small bolt/rod that holds the entire thing together just fell out. It looks like there might have been a tiny plastic end piece that should have held the rod in place, but we can't find another part. And the entire corkscrew now comes apart. Doesn't do anything. So in just four months, it is useless ... and just another thing to throw away. Very poor quality. We are extremely disappointed and won't be buying anything from this manufacturer again. Read more

I purchased this corkscrew opener to replace my old Rabbit Vertical Corkscrew Wine Opener. The casted part in the top of the old wine opener broke which prevented the opener from pulling the cork out of the bottle once the corkscrew was twisted into the cork. The old opener lasted for over 10 years, so for the price I decided to go ahead and purchase this one as a replacement. I really liked the speed and ease of opening a bottle of wine with the old opener. I was a little worried that this one was not exactly like the old one, but I went ahead and took a chance and purchased it. I was relieved once it arrived and I tried it out. The cutter and opener functionality was exactly like the old one. The new opener did not come with a nice case like my old opener, but the new opener did fit perfectly into my old case. It would be nice if they went back to selling the old case even if it is for an extra cost. Keeping it in the cardboard shipping container just does not display it like the old clear acrylic case did. Overall, I am very happy with the new opener. It's fairly easy to use but you definitely need some leverage so I would recommend opening the wine bottle on a lower table instead of a higher counter. The only problem I've run into is sometimes it doesn't pull the cork out it just spins the screw but for the most part it works pretty good. I have found if you run into a cork is not coming out issue if you push the handle down all the way and give it a very quick snap up sometimes it will jerk the cork loose and then you could pull up the rest of the way out Read more
