I loved this movie the first time I saw it (sometime in the 1990s!). I love the relationship between the brothers and how they manage to survive a relationship dynamic that generally tears people apart. Matt's aimlessness as he searches for answers, Michael's initial inability to really understand where Matt is coming from, and Natalie's early acceptance of who Matt is blend together beautifully to create an emotionally satisfying tale where somehow, though bittersweet, everything turns out alright. I got this title as my brother is a big Elizabeth Shue fan and I don't believe he had ever seen this movie before. He was very pleased and I am a happy camper. Read more

I have been waiting for some years for thisovie to come to DVD. I've had it save on my DVR for years and I finally could delete it. This is a quirky drama from the 90's. I was a sucker for Brian McNamara, therefore instantly fell for this movie. There's also Elizabeth Shue and Dylan Walsh rounding out the cast. This is an easy watch with funny and tender moments. I really liked this movie. Just a quiet story with characters that were really well-portrayed and with a storyline that was very credible. I love encountering a movie that I have heard nothing about and finding it to be really good. That was the case with this movie. Back, many years ago, I used to go to a friend's house on some Friday nights and we would rent a movie and watch it. This movie was our choice on one of those nights and neither of us knew anything about it. We really enjoyed it. I always intended to buy it for my permanent library at some point and did so once I found it. Plus, it's got a great REM song in the soundtrack. I, for one, really pulled for it to end as it did.
