When I ordered these flip flops, I was prepared to be in a significant amount of pain during the break-in period, with lots of blisters to show for it. I was pleasantly surprised when my expectations were shattered. I'm not going to lie, these were definitely a tight fit when they arrived (tight enough that they were painful, initially, and left some deep imprints on the top of my foot), but I didn't get any of the blisters that I was expecting. After the first few days of wearing them on my feet they were sufficiently stretched out that there was no longer any pain, so the break-in period really wasn't bad for me. Like I said, the straps were extremely tight when they arrived, so I just sat around with them on my feet while they stretched out. The second day I walked around the house a little (but still mostly sat), and by day three they were worn in enough that I could walk around freely in them. It's been two weeks since I got them and they are soft, comfortable, and have a really nice (light) imprint from my individual foot. There is great arch support and the foot bed is solid without feeling too stiff (if you press into it with your finger there is a little give but it's not squishy). I like that the strap is a little on the thicker side (better for walking) but still looks a little feminine with the braid. As far as size goes, I'm a 7-7.5 in most shoes and the med (6.5-7.5 I think) fit perfect. Brand new, my foot was right at the edge of the back but after a couple weeks, it seems to have stretched out a little, so don't try to size up; Get your actual size. I don't think this is an especially narrow flip flop either. I consider my foot normal to slightly wide and I have even worn narrow shoes (some flats and flip flops) that were not comfortable and I didn't have a problem with this shoe. I think it's a more normal width (maybe ever so slightly on the narrow side). Great simple looking flip flop, seems durable and made with great materials. I would definitely recommend this product. And, once again, if you aren't walking around a ton when you first get this sandal, the break-in period is really not that bad. Read more

I love these and bought both colors. The toe strap is a little snug the first time you put them on, but it conforms quickly and does not stretch out and get too loose. The quality is excellent and they are extremely comfortable. They do not look or sound like sloppy flip flops. The double strap looks classy and they continue to be very comfortable. Read more

I only wear rainbows. Super comfortable once you wear them in. Love the arch support and new colors. Great quality too! Read more

I bought these as I was in need of a new pair of flops! I have Rainbows but have just about worn them out. These are great quality and very comfortable. They don’t need broken in like some of the other ones I’ve bought. The only “downside” is I wear a 7.5 and the sizing goes up or down and I chose to go up. They were too big so I ended up and gave them to my niece and bought the next size down (med). Read more

forgive my ugly feet right now, but I love these flip flops! my first rainbows, they definitely take time to break in. I will say that of all the rainbow women’s styles i ordered, these fit my wider feet the best and they’re so cute!! these are wider than the flirty braid ones which I loved the look of but were too narrow. so excited for summer with these! I have the twisted sister and flirty braidy in the same size, (M), and color. While Rainbows generally have a painful break in, the twisted sister is worse for the first few days than the braidy. The toe strap is father back, pushing my foot back off the sandal, and leaving too much excess footbed at the toes. Also the straps are shorter, harder and tighter. Meaning I really needed to get those all the straps stretched in order to get a good fit. I added a couple comparison pics. Though they're exactly the same length and width, the twisted sisters fit much tighter and will require more care when breaking in. Anyone with slightly thick or wide size 7 feet would be miserable in these while they broke them in. I have thin, somewhat narrow feet and I was miserable. The GOOD: The straps actually stretched pretty quickly. After just a few days of casual wear. I got not blisters because I didn't overdo it. Then I could wear them more often and get them really broken in. They're cute, I like these, but I prefer the overall look and feel of the Flirty Braidy version. The twisted sister straps will be murder those first days. Rainbows get super soft and comfortable, so it's worth it to me. HINT: put the flops on, get an idea of where they will rub, and then immediately put bandaids or moleskin on those areas before you ever wear them. I find the best way to break in Rainbows is just wear them, go for some long, slow walks. Stay away from water. It ages leather no matter what. Read more

The best sandals ever. I grew up on an island and live in a coastal area, first time I bought a pair was from mango Bay on Sanibel Island. Of course lost one running from a gator we were stupidly throwing rocks at as kids... (we definitely knew better) but I was so sad to lose a flop. I saved up all summer to buy a new pair. Now as an adult I still lose my flops and I still order the same ones. Very durable. They're a shoe that needs broken in because they mold to your feet for a perfect seemless fit. The first week is rough but just wear the non stop they will become the most comfortable fit ever. I also have short wide feet and the sole covers the bottom of my foot.. it's a little close but definitely a small issue. Wondering if they have wide fits for short stubby women like me? Anyways great for the out doors and beaches... not great for running away from gators. Lesson learned. Read more
