I clipped this little tuner on and tuned right up. Mine works great. It's a very simple tuner and for the price you can't beat it really. It sounds really accurate. I'm a front porch player and not professional but I can hear when something is off. I think if you're learning, practicing or playing for yourself this is perfect. The instructions are tiny but the listing also has them and it's clear and there isn't much to it. Switch modes and it works for multiple instruments just note which code is which. Takes the same battery as my key fob so I have a stash of those on hand already. Good value in my opinion. Read more

These tuners are functional, but one thing annoys me. When you turn off the tuner it is supposed to retain the settings from the last time it was on. I want mine to stay in chromatic mode. It does retain that setting, but then if I strike an E string after turning it on it immediately switches Guitar mode. Then I have to cycle it all the way back to Chromatic. So I have to remember to strike a note that doesn't correspond with an open guitar string if I want to stay in Chromatic mode after I turn it on. One other observation is that these tuners are less precise than the d'Addario and tc electronic tuners I have. You can think you're in tune after using them but strike a chord and realize that the tuning still needs some work. Obviously, the price is great, but there's more to consider. Read more

Tuned my guitar no problem. Standard tuning. Every string. Clipped it to my violin right after and it skips the “A” string. I’m trying to figure out the violin on my own but just knowing one string is off is frustrating. I saw some battery comments in the reviews. Mine came fully dead but charged right up. I haven’t tried to match it to the manufacturers specs of 5 hours use on one charge but it lasted the 15 minutes I did use it after charging. Until it wouldn’t read my “A” string. *Update 10/2/2025, the company reached because of this review and worked with me diligently to solve my issue of missing a string on my violin. They suggested a couple trouble shooting steps which had no effect. They went above and beyond to figure this out for me and even reached out to a violinist for suggestion. Turns out the violists advice led me to solving my issue. It was not the tuner but the problem string not being seated properly. After fixing that the tuner picked up the “A” string and I was able to tune it. The customer service was incredible. I do love this multi instrument tuner. Read more
