This cold pack has been a lifesaver. I used it when I broke my leg and it helped so much with swelling and pain. It stays cold for a long time and the size is perfect for wrapping around bigger areas like a leg or even across my back. Now I use it for tendonitis in my foot and it works just as well. It is flexible even when frozen and super easy to use. I just keep it in the freezer and grab it whenever I need it. The quality is great and it has held up with lots of use. If you are dealing with an injury or just need something reliable for sore muscles or inflammation this is the one to get. So glad I have it on hand. Read more

Before buying anything on Amazon, I tend to view the star ratings and totally up all the 3, 4 and 5's to see how close they get to 90%. Secondly, I check the 5 and 1 star ratings. When reading 1 star ratings for these cold compresses, I was concerned that some noted they froze like water, were not comfortable to wear etc. Maybe they received a defective version but the ones I got were to replace the venerable Ace cold compresses which are no longer available. Rapid Relief have long had a valued name so I thought I'd chance that these would be am adequate replacement as one of my two decades old Ace compresses had finally withered away and seemingly leaked although I never found any residue. First thing I did was to check the softness of the fabric on these Rapid Relief in comparison to my remaining Ace. They looked and felt identical. Secondly, I left one of the Rapid Relief in the freezer for 24 hours along with the aged Ace to compare after freezing. My freezer is new and set at 0F. After 24 hours, I checked them side by side. There was no perceptible difference in the two compresses when bending or compressing the semi hardened gel. Thirdly, I know how cold the Ace would stay when wrapped in a towel (It was always too cold to apply directly to the skin). So I tested the Rapid Relief in the same manner. After 30 minutes with a towel wrapped it was still cold and could then be held directly against the skin for another 30 minutes if required. I know the box says "No towel needed" but I prefer still using a towel, that's how cold they get coming straight from the freezer. Lastly, as for size, these are almost identical to the Small Ace compresses. There's no discernible difference. So basically while initially skeptical (based on the 1 start reviews) that these might not be an adequate replacement, I was actually very pleased that in fact they are seemingly identical to the older Ace compresses no longer available and therefore am very pleased with the quality. At this time I cannot comment on how well they'll hold up long term but having purchased 2 of the small and 2 of the large pads I wanted to be sure that my purchase was good. I cannot fault these compresses. They work as intended just like the older brands. I'd definitely recommend them. If I run into any problems after numerous cycles/uses I'll update my review but initial testing definitely met all the criteria and quality I hoped for. Read more

Long lasting, large ice pack. This one remains cold for quite a bit longer than my Ace by 3M, which is an older ice pack. Read more
