allergy trigger, long cure time, messy
like most, this brand is a gel allergy trigger. the color and chrome effect are great. it's truly shiny, not sparkly. i think because it's so nicely pigmented, the cure time is much longer than normal. the metallic pigments can also separate from the main pigment (making gold into brown and silver into grey) so it is best to use the bottle brush, which is unfortunate because the tiny tube is actually quite messy. it gathers in the cap and runs down fast. Great if doing small details, not for covering larger spots
I bought this because I HATE doing isolated chrome using a powder (I like to draw little stars and such and make them shiny) due to the fact that it never turns out right for me. It always leaves little glitter flecks on the portion of the nail that I didn't want to have chrome on. This product so far has worked very well instead of the powder for doing small details that I wanted to be chrome, such as stars or other small nail art. It's just as shiny as the chrome powder would be, and gives a mirror-like effect. It covers the small details well, however upon trying to do a french tip design, the coverage wasn't as good and the shininess oxidizes and left a weird sheer brown color in spots and was splotchy. If you want to do small details with this, it does work well, very easy to use and the longevity is great. Definitely use a different nail art brush though, as the built-in brush floods with polish and is slightly difficult to use. Read more
