This classic antiseptic salve is one of those old-school remedies that a lot of people swear by—and for good reason. It’s thick and herbal-smelling, which may feel a bit unusual at first compared with modern ointments, but many users find it really effective for cuts, scrapes, burns, dry skin and minor skin irritations. A bunch of reviewers say it’s lasted them for years and they keep buying more because of the healing results they get. What I Like: • Feels rich and protective on the skin — it doesn’t just wash away. • Many longtime users report good healing results on wounds and dryness. • A little goes a long way — one tin lasts a long time. * works to relive pain from cuts Good value for the money will last a long time. yThis is great product that has been around a very long time. I have some from over 70 years ago handed around in our family from an older relative to a younger relative, not knowing that it is still being produced. Read more

Rawleigh Salve is THE BEST. The 4.5 oz tin the best value and it a little bit goes a long way. The smell is not bad at all. The ointment is soft. It is thick so that it stays on the effected area. It can be used on cuts, scrapes, rashes, SPIDER BITES!! My husband got bit by a Brown Recluse on the top of his foot and I immediately started using the Rawleigh Salve and keeping the bite cleaned out with peroxide, I’d clean the bite area with peroxide and apply the Rawleigh Salve and put bandage on it during the day while he worked and at night I would clean the bite with peroxide and apply the Rawleigh salve leaving the bandage off so it could get air. In 4 days the spider bite had completely healed. Rawleigh Salve is my go to for everything that I can treat myself. I even use a little bit on my dogs, for ant bites and if they get a hot spot. It works… Don’t use on cats though… Thank You!!! Read more

I remember as a child my great grandmother using this on anything and everything. A drawing salve for splinters or stingers, bruises, cuts, bug bites, etc... It worked quickly and effectively then, and it still does today. A little bit goes a long way. My tin (we have two very boy boys) usually lasts us 2 years or so. Its an all in one and replaces so many other ointments so definitely a fantastic value. I cant say enough positive things about this product. The smell may not be for everyone, but honestly it holds a level of nostalgia for me. The thickness of the salve is consistent with that of Neosporin. Read more

This is an ointment with a strong smell of turpines, so beware if that is a turn-off. It seems to be working well on a wound that's taken a long time to heal and surprisingly isn't irritating if used sparingly. Great product if you're looking for a replacement for the discontinued Watkins Petro Carbo. Read more
