One Battery DOA out of the Box

The Fusion batteries work great. I started using them a couple of years ago and am impressed with how long they last in my devices. For the first time ever for me, with any brand of battery, one of them was dead right out of the box. Replaced the four batteries in my blood pressure measuring device and it didn't work. Check each battery with my multi meter and one eas at 0.56 volts. Replaced it with another and the device worked fine. Checked all the other batteries and the rest were fine. Read more

Batteries don't last in storoage, leak battery acid in package

I bought several of the AA and AAA Rayovac Fusion Batteries (Black Friday 2020 on Amazon and at Lowes, iirc), seeing that they should last in storage for 12 years. They don't last. After 3 years, stored in a cool, dry spot in our house, I have had to throw away most of two, 30-count packs due to them leaking that white battery acid while still inside the pack! And parts of other open packs were affected. I should have taken a picture of the packs. They also seem to do the same thing in devices like remote controls and an IR Heat Gun I use regularly in the kitchen (that is pictured below). I have had Energizer batteries do the same thing, but usually only in a remote that was not being used for a long time. These batteries may be fine for immediate use- but I will not buy them again (if this happens to you, use white vinegar to neutralize the acid and remove it, then alchohol to finishing cleaning).
