Update: 2+ years. They were extremely rough on them and they never stopped working. I put them in storage over the winter due to moving and they would no longer charge when I got them back out. This was expected since the batteries were left dead. The kids never got hurt or fell off. They just moved on to Hypergogo motorbikes. I would rate these 10/10 and to this point the best and most used toy I've ever gotten my kids. Update: 1 month later. They have never run out of battery when we go out even for over an hour, and we go out 2-3 times a week. Zero issues with all three. My kids have even started riding them off curbs ( against my direction). They attract a lot of attention , so typically we go to empty parking lots. Awesome. My kids are 3, 4, and 5. The media could not be loaded. Got rid of the bulky jeep and replaced it with the Shift for Christmas gift for my son (9). We live in an apartment so I needed something that was easy to carry up and down the stairs, can be driven in the apartment, and easy to store in apartment and in car. This checked all of my boxes. Battery - We have it on the highest speed and the battery lasts for hours although I read it only lasted for 45 mins. Safety - I purchased a helmet and knee pads, but it really isnt needed. You have to try hard to tip it over. Durability - It is durable and a lot of fun. It does attract a lot of attention. Every kid in the neighborhood wants to ride it. This did not disappoint at all!!! My son was so freaking happy when he got this. Even neighbors wanted to buy it off of me and all the kids wanted it too. This at the time I bought it had sold out everywhere! That's how cool this car is. We've had this for a couple years and the only thing that's happened is the pedal covering has come off. But it can easily be fixed. My son is 8 now and a little too big for it, so my neighbor has asked to buy it. My son is a big 8 year old though. Tall but slim. He still likes to ride it though. This car is fast and does some cool burn outs. Everyone is amazed at how cool this car is and some Adults have said how they wish they had this toy when they were a kid and or how they wish they can have it now. Hahaha. One of the best buys I have ever done and do not regret this at ALL! DEF. recommend and you will not regret it. FYI- the flag doesn't stay on the best, but who really needs it anyways. I bought this for my 8-year-old grandson and he absolutely loves it! It came mostly assembled—just had to attach the flag and charge it. The low speed was perfect for helping him get the hang of it before switching to the higher speed, which is impressively fast (especially when it spins!). Christmas present for my son that asked me for months to get him this’ exactly how excited I thought he would be when he seen this Christmas morning. I had the setting on low but after riding for a while I decided to put it on high and he loves it! Been using it everyday since. Battery life is great too. For the price, this is a really fun kids’ toy and seems to be well made and durable. My only complaint: the “slow” mode was good for my five year old to initially learn, but it’s laughably slow and he got bored with it quickly. However, the “fast” mode is multiple times faster, which led to wipeouts each time he tried it, and now he’s scared to do it again (but bored with “slow”). As other owners of this thing can tell you, there’s a LOT of space between the two modes and I wish they had provided a “medium” mode right in between, which I imagine would be perfect for a lot of kids around that age.
