I’ve been using Reach Ultra Clean Dental Floss for a while now, I’m very impressed. It slides easily between my teeth without shredding, making flossing painless, and less bleeding. This is the best floss I've ever used, and it was recommended to me originally by a dental hygienist after a visit to the dental office. It's got a slightly stretchy quality and seems to have a kind of micro texture on the surface. I think it's better than woven or waxed floss by a longshot, and seems to break less often. After a dental implant, food gets caught under that tooth, and thin floss doesn't remove it. I have tried a bunch of different brands finding none are completely effective. Recently at my regular visit for teeth cleaning I noted the hygienist using Reach Ultraclean and asked about it. She highly recommended it, so I gave it a try. It's definitely thicker and is the best I've found at removing the material. Though thick, it's easy to slide between teeth that are tight together. Neat product. It stretches, flexible, doesn't fray or break, and really does clean better between teeth. My teeth are tight in spots, plus crown and an implant. I was worried would not work well, but did better than standard floss which is either too thin and hurts or cuts into gums, doesn't actually clean well, or frays because it's old-style woven. Nice light mint flavor. Only issue a bit pricey. Bought 3 pack 30 yard each for $9.99 which made it more reasonable. Really like the stretchy, flexible edging of floss, not slick or sharp on gums. Easy to get taut since it stretches without breaking. No sharp edges though. Nice product so far. Would definitely recommend trying this innovative product. Read more

There is no better floss on the market, and I've tried them all. It is expensive but worth every dime. When I use this floss regularly my checkups go better, and in general I just feel like my teeth are incredibly clean. The quality of the floss itself deserves more than five stars, but I have to give four stars for two reasons. First, the Amazon version is not as thick as the same item bought at Harris Teeter. Not sure why but it's slightly inferior. (I never see it at stores anywhere but Harris Teeter). It is still better than anything on the market that I've tried. I am begging the manufacturer to pay attention to my second and most important reason for the four stars instead of five. The container and cutting mechanism are too often defective. I've been buying this floss a long time, and it's so good I just accept that in about one in five times the packaging fails. When they fail, I jimmy open the container and cut the floss manually or just throw it out if I'm in a really bad mood. I'm always cursing this floss because this problem is so annoying. I noticed recently the manufacturer started pulling the floss out themselves and selling the product with floss already at the blade. They also added instructions not to pull the floss upward from the blade but to pull it horizontally. Manufacturer please note: THE PROBLEM IS NOT your horizontally-challenged customers who you think can't find the blade, it is your own engineering. You have lost alot of business because of it. I never have this problem with any other floss and I've used floss religiously for decades. Please please please fix this problem. Read more

I have tight gaps between my teeth and have REALLY been missing my old ribbon floss that was discontinued for containing certain chemicals or whatever (don't get me wrong, glad someone is watching out for that). Tried several different brands to replace the old stuff - the new Glide types, Cocolab, etc. - and none of them felt good... until now. This Reach is a little odd - it's stretchy, for one thing. But it seems super durable and it "glides" right between the tightest areas of my teeth without feeling like I'm trying to drag some kind of rope through there. If the old ribbon floss were a 10, this stuff is a solid 9. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you like me are looking to replace our floss from the good ole days. Read more
