I've had one for a few months and it's the best alarm clock I've ever had. I love this so much I got one for and for my teenager. The white noise settings are variable and nice, they even cover up my snoring neighbor's sounds. The choice of alarm sounds are wonderful and gentle. They wake me up but aren't jarring. I fall asleep to the soothing sounds of rain and wake to the sounds of birds. I can put my phone on airplane and leave it in the other room since I no longer need it for my sleep sound apps or alarm. The digital light can be dimmed and dark so there's no ambient light in my room. Wonderful for better sleep hygiene! I also love the nightlight feature of this alarm clock, even though I didn't think I'd need it. This is seriously the best alarm clock & white noise maker ever. I ordered this mainly to use as a bedroom clock, I do love falling asleep to a rain storm, but this thing is everything I wanted and more! Not only is it super easy to use, but the volume is decently loud using the sounds at night and doesn’t just sound like a phone speaker (thank god). Purchased to replace my ancient Sharper Image alarm clock, which finally bit the dust after 15 years. The features I was seeking were: multi-alarm capability, soundscapes and beeps as options for the wake-up sound, dimmable display, and automatic DST flip. For this clock, I like the aesthetics of the neon and the clear visibility of the buttons on top. It is also a good size for a bedside clock, not too flimsy or small but also not so absurdly large. It has many of the features I was seeking. For the alarm/sound effects, I found the selection of sounds to be a good variation. However, there is no volume control button to adjust the sound-machine features and I found them to be very loud. Conversely, the volume of the alarm clock features was far too quiet; it was very faint even held in my hand at arms length, certainly not wakeful if placed across a room (out of reach to force you to get out of bed and shut it off, naturally). There was also no way that I could tell to use the sound-machine sounds AS alarms. The LED numbers were a bit fuzzy seen through the semi-opaque clock face, I expected a clear-plastic face and crisp display. I would not say the online preview images are 100% accurate. I spent a long time researching alarm clocks, even considered the Hatch and other high-end models with light-based wakeups. But I realized I didn’t actually want light waking me up—and this clock is absolutely perfect. It has more useful features than I expected. I love being able to adjust the display brightness (including turning it off completely), and the soft light options are great for quick tasks like finding something in my nightstand. The alarm tones are peaceful and far less jarring than my old clock, and the added white noise function is a huge bonus. I love this clock. I love being able to wake up too quiet music. I wish there were more wake up music sounds, though. Also, I can’t figure out how to make the wake up sound louder or softer. I really love the nightlight colors! Every night as soon as it gets dark I turned it on and use it as mood lighting. Great clock! Read more

I have trouble going back to sleep after inevitably waking in the middle of the night. I was hoping that some nice sounds might help me return to sleep. I also have chronic tinnitus the last several years, which comes to the front of my attention at times. I was excited about the great reviews, and while it is a pretty attractive little unit with decent sound, there are only a couple or a few sounds out of 20+ I would consider soothing enough to use on a regular basis--namely the ocean, and maybe the rain. The first 8 or so sounds are all some sort of "white noise" which I find annoying rather than soothing, and only seem to differ by tone and or volume--a waste to me. Also kinda like my tinnitus, albeit less "tinny". Then there are a couple that are for kids, some frogs croaking, crickets. birds, none of which I would use, although they sound authentic. Light thunder with the rain--which I found nice initially and thought would be a fave--but discovered I'd jolt a bit when the thunder actually came around. **SIGH** It does have a nicely adjustable volume level, so maybe I'll try that again at a lower volume, but might not be able to hear the rain part! It does have a large time display that can be dimmed, One reviewer apparently couldn't figure that out, but it's the same as the snooze button, and it's written right under it. It is white though, and I looked up the most non-disruptive colors for sleep, and RED seems to be the best, with the warmer colors following. Also, the display is a bit blurry, and that stuff drives me a little nuts. I do love that it "remembers" which sound you used last, in case that's a favorite. but don't like that if you want to change a sound you have to scroll through to the end, then start over to get to what you want, instead just being able to use a reverse/forward arrow--or something. Love the many timer length options to turn off the sound after whatever length you choose. It does also turn off the night light if you have one on, so some may want that as a separate option--maybe for kids who don't want to wake in the dark later. Wish it had more soothing musical options--maybe some cello or something. You'll need to turn on a light on the machine in the middle of the night to find what you are looking for, unless you try to memorize where all the buttons are (haha). Just tried the alarm, and LOVE that there are many options besides a grating, loud BUZZ or BEEP to wake up to. I am retired, so I gratefully won't have to use that often! So I'll use it but keep looking for another machine that has just what I'm looking for, then relegate this to the guest room. Read more
