I purchased this mattress in 2023 for my own bed and again in 2024 for my mom — that’s how much I loved it. But the moment that truly proved its worth was after Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica. We stayed with family and when we were able to get home a few days later, part of the roof was gone and everything (the bedding, furniture etc) was soaked. We were devastated about the condition of our home and the fact that we had this mattress for less than a year and assumed it would be ruined. However, when we removed the soaked bedding and mattress protector, we were absolutely shocked the mattress was completely dry. It held up through water exposure and literally saved us hundreds of dollars (USD) at a time when we already had so much to worry about. It wasn’t as thick as I was hoping for but I’m not sure you can have the best of both worlds here - thick AND waterproof. If you can, I have yet to find one in all my years of searching. I have 4 kids ranging from 8-26 so I’d say I’m pretty well versed on these things. I have it on my 8yo’s bed and he says it’s more comfortable now than before we put it on so that’s good! We like everything about this except it still allows for seepage. My daughter was potty training & we ended up placing a washable potty pad underneath as a “just in case” measure. It worked perfectly! The top material is soft & almost plush. There was a time I was washing this cover every single day due to potty training. It looks & feels like I just bought it. I ordered one to see how it would work on my husband's hospital bed. It is wonderful. It has a large enough stretch pockets so that even with the memory foam mattress topper and an inflatable mattress to prevent bed sores, it still fits under them to make a snug fit. It is so easy to wash and dry that I ordered a second one so I wouldn't have to make sure his bed linens were washed in time to put them back on his bed the same day. Recently purchased this for our bed as we have very young kids and very old dogs... Accidents are bound to happen. It arrived quickly and I washed it right away. No harsh odors. Took a little longer to dry, but that's to be expected with anything with a waterproof membrane. I threw it right on the mattress and promptly forgot about it, even when we laid down for bed! There is NO crinkly sound and it's soft and comfortable. I didn't notice any difference in temperature while sleeping on it, but it's winter right now, so some extra warmth could be an unexpected bonus... We'll have to see when summer rolls around. I have bought many, many mattress protectors and this one takes the cake. It is thick and soft, but doesn't make the weird crinkle noise many do. It has saved my mattress a few times already!
