I'm a fan of Real Avid gunsmithing gear. In fact, I probably have too much. But I regularly find that the quality of their bits is superior to more well-known brands and seem less inclined to break under high-torque applications. So I was very happy to pick up this bit set to supplment/replace my existing gear and it also happened to be my first introduction to the X3 driver which is now my very favorite ratchet/T-handle/extension driver combo ever! It makes assembling things so much easier by allowing me different grips depending on whatever clearance I have in the space I'm trying to work. We just got my youngest kiddo a new desk and this kit made the assembly way easier. My only complaint is that I wish it included more Phillips-head bits as that is still the most common head I encounter and so those heads get lost or worn out the fastest. There is unused space in the bit tray, so it would've been nice to see them truly maximize that space with a few additional bits like the Phillips-head. Price-wise, it's expensive at $59.99 as of when I ordered it. I hesitate to say that it's over-priced, because I do really like the quality of the bits, and the X3 driver is very useful and unique. If it came with a few more bits, or was maybe 20% cheaper I think it'd be a full 5-stars for me. As it is, I do still think it's a good set and it still gets a solid 4-stars. Read more

This is a wonderful set of tools. I have many tools from this company that I bought with my own money, long before I was offered this set, and I was always impressed with the quality even if some of the concepts are a little gimmicky. This set is next level though. From the box to the bits, it’s top quality. The bits are well organized, and it includes a nice variety that should do most tasks needed by firearm users. They are held in the case securely, and they stay in the tool with really strong magnets. The ratchet is great, and works as a driver handle and a breaker bar, like they thought through all the possibilities. These tools also perfectly interface with the Fix-It-Sticks that I already owned, which just puts it over the top for me. This seems like a very high quality screwdriver set. I use this to build my last computer and it worked fine. It's a little odd using an all-metal screwdriver where the handle and shaft are the same size, but it does work, and fits in places where normal hands + handle wont - say a SFF computer case. The bits are of high quality with no burrs. I haven't used the ratchet yet, but I'm sure it will come in handy for those hard to reach places. Read more

So I picked this up thinking I often need small precision screwdrivers for things like computer repairs, small devices, etc. and thought having an actual kit might help me both be more organized and help me find what I need without tearing the house apart. The reality is this kit was everything I hoped for and so so much more! The various amount of torx and allan type wrench bits in this kit is AMAZING. We've had to build several new pieces of furniture, and having them in this kit instead of relying on whatever small allan wrench or screwdriver is provided is fantastic. It also has ratchet action, so that also makes putting something together so much easier. There's also an extension piece to make the ratcheting driver longer if needed. I have not needed to use this yet, but it's a great addition to the set. Most importantly, the kit is small - small enough to fit in any tool box/bag, glove box or anything else. See the included photo compared to a regular old 12 oz can of soda - the kit is not much bigger! This has become a valuable part of our tool collection, and frankly I'm considering buying several more to keep in the office/car. Great kit, very happy with how well it works! Read more
