This clock works well and has many different "faces" that you can put on it. It is good because it shows the time and the date and the time of day (late morning, night). This is especially good with the elderly that get confused. I am semi-retired and I sometimes loose track of the day that it is and this helps. I have a similar clock that I keep in my bedroom that I like better. If I didn’t have that one I would probably like this one more. I ordered this one to keep in my home office. The thing that I like better is that the other one plugs in and always stays on. This one can always stay on but since it runs on a battery you have to keep charging it. You can have it turn off to conserve energy but then you have to put it back on when you want to see the time/date. I have not used the alarm or other features because I prefer to use my phone or watch for that. Read more

This clock is a solid, practical choice for anyone needing a highly visible, no-fuss display of the time, day, and date. ​The Good: ​Excellent Display: The screen is large, bright, and the text is extremely clear and easy to read from across the room, which is a major benefit. ​Simple Interface: Setting up the clock was straightforward, and the large font reduces confusion compared to smaller, busy digital clocks. ​Helpful Information: Clearly displaying the full day and date is very useful for keeping track of the week. ​The Neutral/Drawback: ​Battery Backup is Limited: While the clock is advertised as having a battery function, the life is very short (or it's only meant for extremely short-term backup). If you intend to use this clock entirely on battery power, you will be disappointed as it needs to be plugged in constantly to stay powered on. ​Power Cord Dependency: Given the poor battery life, this is essentially a plug-in clock. The cord is included, but be prepared to find an outlet for it near where you want to place it. ​Overall, it's a very effective clock for its primary function—providing clear, non-abbreviated time and date—but its portability and ability to function without a power cord are severely limited. This is a nice fairly compact sized digital clock that is 7” x 4.5” The displays are quite pleasing. It gives you a choice of themes and various settings for the foreground and background time displays. It is refreshing to have clock faces to vary from. The button settings are on the right side of the unit out of sight but the prompts for the buttons appear by the right side of the screen. They are very helpful in selecting what to do. The clock has a sturdy kickstand. There is a scale of dimmer settings that could be set up to perform automatically based upon time of day or you can override and set up a manual brightness for the current time of day. However, there is no separate button just for adjusting the brightness “on the fly”. It has to be programmed in via the settings function. On one theme chosen you can add in your own picture for the background to the clock. You can also play an album of pictures. I am glad this clock does not have temperature and humidity displays. They are superfluous in cluttering up the display screen, with a bunch showing inaccurate recordings anyway. The clock has many alarm time settings with customizable messages and many ringtones. Additionally there is a schedule feature where you can set an alarm according to a future unique date, like for a doctor’s appointment. This clock aims for more simplicity of showing time displays with catering to the elderly or simply for someone who desires a less cluttered look or a freshened look between the various themes. What really sets this clock apart unlike any other, is that you can have the regular clock display remaining on running off the internal batteries for a time period based upon how bright you set the display. An example is the display will run off the batteries for 24 hours at 20% brightness. The manual tells you how much time you can run the display for on batteries and there is a battery level display when you do so. This is outstanding. You can set the clock to automatically turn the display off after a certain time period or you can press the button on the top. The only puzzling thing is that when the display if off and you press the top button to wake it up, there is a delayed “loading” up time. But this is a well-made clock with many pleasing features.
