I grabbed this mask to keep my skin in line after long training days, but I’ll admit the first setup took a minute. The tiny on/off switch sits flush, and the manual glosses over pairing the wireless timer, so I had to hold the power for a few seconds and cycle the colors to link it. Once it was running, the 336 LEDs are no joke. The mask sits flat over my cheekbones and jaw, and the silicone edge keeps it from biting, though the strap is snug on my 6'0, 200 lb frame. The timer clicks cleanly to 10 or 15 minutes, and the eye shields do their job, so I usually wear them while I program client workouts at night. Red mode has softened that post-lift tightness and blue mode tames the occasional breakout; I feel a gentle warmth by the 12-minute mark but nothing hot. I get about 4 sessions before a recharge, and the USB port is solid and firmly seated. I bought this red light therapy mask because I’ve officially reached the age where my face looks tired even when I don’t feel tired (which is rare). Between menopause, stress, and gravity doing whatever it wants, I figured it was time to fight back—with science and a glowing face shield. First of all, putting this on made me look like a villain in a low-budget sci-fi movie, which honestly brought me joy. My husband was mildly concerned. The dog refused to make eye contact. I pressed on. It’s surprisingly comfortable, easy to use, and doesn’t make my face feel like it’s being microwaved (a real concern at this point). I use it while laying down, questioning my life choices, and pretending I have a spa membership instead of peri-menopause. After using it consistently, my skin looks smoother, brighter, and less like it’s been through some things—which it absolutely has. Fine lines look softer, and I swear my face just looks more… alive? This mask is really great. I love how I can set the timer and modes with the mask on my face and then attach the battery pack. It has 84 diodes (? Proper word?) Each with 4 LEDs for your different wavelengths. I would be aware it does get slightly warm (not hot) at 5min but this could be a concern if you have melasma. I very much appreciate the addition of amber/yellow. Although this doesn't do deep work, I find it helps my skin glow a little more. Obviously it's a bit tough to get sizing right for everyone. I find my face is very 1/3-1/3-1/3 balanced but the mouth hole sits at my chin. Only reason I reduced one star. I feel this is super comfortable to walk around with on. Read more
