My GSD loves them. She gets about 25-40 minutes of chewing time. I didn't notice any odor at all. We do take it away when it gets small enough for her to fit all of it in her mouth to prevent accidental choking. Definitely keep an eye on them when chewing. She seems to really enjoy the flavor and it keeps her busy for a bit. The braided ones seem to last longer. We only give her one a week as a treat. No upset stomach problems. There are about 5-6 in the package. Quality is good. Price seems a bit high, but averages about the same as getting them from the pet store. Overall we're pleased with them because our fur baby loves them! Read more

Very expensive. However, my dog loved these. Heβs a large, powerful breed puppy & chewing is serious business right now. This all natural, quality product appealed to me for him. It made him very happy. Actually had some quiet time with him as he chewed something other than me or the furniture. Busied him for two days of contented chewing to finish. Good size for him & the braiding added to the thickness to make it last. He obviously enjoyed the smell, taste & texture. So far no tummy disruptions either so an all around win. Subscribed to keep a supply. Read more

We have a larger-than-usual beagle pup at our house, and we bought him half grown. He had never been in a house before. He was destroying everything in our home. Phone chargers, my kindle, the carpets, the drywall in the hallway! A goblet, a picture frame, several paperbacks and two hard cover books. The list goes on. I was desperate for something he could chew that would last, and I had been told by my vet to avoid rawhide because it clogs a dog's intestinal tract. So far, this is the best chew treat I have found. It lasts longer than the curly "springs", which are also pretty good. I purchased 3 of the 7 inch braids for Ox, but if you have a larger breed pup, you will want to invest in the 12 inch braids. The braid needs to be long enough that the dog can hold onto it with his paws and still be able to chew. But Ox loved his braid so much that he continued once he could no longer hang onto it manually, and repeatedly chewed it, dropped it, and picked it up with his teeth again until it was gone. My web crawl says there are health concerns with bull pizzle, but most seem related to caloric content. I am not sure I would offer these to an adult dog unless the dog could make each one last for a long while. Ox is still growing and gets walked every day for 2-3 hours. We don't feed him any human food, and his weight is optimal, so the calories aren't a worry for us right now. And best of all, one of these takes him hours and hours of absolute concentrated effort to devour. Some dogs, mine included, will take an expensive treat like this and run off and hide or bury it. I have found the best solution is to close the dog up in the same room where I will be for awhile, and when he can't leave the room to pack the braid away somewhere, he decides to flop down and chew on it instead. So although it's crazy-expensive compared to most other treats, right now it's worth it. Think of what I would have to pay for the therapy I'd need if this pooch destroyed any more of my home! In that light, it's a bargain. Read more

We give these to our Yorkie as these are one of the few things that will occupy her for a good amount of time. She normally will take other similar products, such as rawhide bones, and just hide them around the house instead of chewing them. Not the case with these. She will sit on the couch and chew on one for 30 min at a time which is a nice break from her usual high-energy self! We definitely like that these are digestible. The size of these also works well for our dog as one will usually last her a week or 2 depending on how often and aggressive she decides to chew it. They do have a rather strong odor as many of the reviews say, but some packages tend to be worse than others. Also, we may just be getting used to the smell and don't notice it as much anymore. As many of the reviews state, I would definitely recommend supervising your dog while they chew these, especially as it gets smaller. When the braid gets to be about 3" or so, the pieces tend to separate which could pose a bigger choking hazard. Keeping a close eye on your dog and taking the pieces away when it gets to this point is important. Read more

My Heeler loves them. Less expensive than some, but still pretty expensive. Thickness varies between packages. Apparently some Bulls are better indowed than others? Read more

Very disappointed! My 20lb dog finished one of these in an hour, way to expensive for how long they last. They stink too. Read more

My pup loves these. I usually get her the JUMBO 12" straight bully sticks but I saw these and thought I'd give them a try. Usually she can chew threw them quite fast (boo) but these took her a little while. My preference is still to get the largest ones I can find but the fact these were braided made my dog work a little harder which is a good thing. She seemed to enjoy the flavor better than the last brand we had. Read more
