The media could not be loaded. My cat immediately came to stare at the lights and purr, and the squishy but bubbly clicky clacky keys make brain go *brrrt*. Okay legit review time: I was a little nervous (maybe stupidly idk) because I saw no one review the Cloud Gray keyboard— only the essential black one— ….but I bought it anyway and I’m glad because it’s GREAT. Not super heavy, perfect smaller size, etc. I love pretty much everything Red Dragon: super affordable, good quality, and so far I’ve had my other Red Dragon products for years. Anyway here’s a video of the pretty keyboard lights and it’s glorious sounds…and then the most important: a picture of my cat admiring said lights (that will never shine as brightly as her 🩷). It’s a mess. It feels nice, but then the number keys turn on and off randomly. The keys ghost, and it doesn’t do what a keyboard should do - just work. I bought 3. It’s a design issue. I still love red dragon! Read more
The first think I noticed when trying out they keyboard is that the keys sound and feel AMAZING - like so good. My main keyboard is also a Redragon which also has Red Linear switches, but it sounds and feels so much worse, so I guess the "3-Layer Noise Dampening" is that they advertise is legit. The fist negative I have is that the lighting isn't super bright. I guess this isn't a huge deal because it certainly is more than bright enough for when you actually need it (in the dark), but its just not bright enough to make it look... you know... pretty in a lit room. The final negative is the lack of arrow keys. I guess someone buying this should already know from the images that there are no arrow keys, if you are just playing games without the need for them then great. But I just wish they could have squeezed them in, or at least added a secondary key for them which you could switch on with the FN key or something. Luckily, unlike with my K655, the software for this keyboard actually does work! And using the software, you can pretty easily program any key or key combination into acting as the arrow keys. Thanks to this functionality, I may continue to use this one in place of my K655 for a while (until I maybe start missing the numpad). I still can't give 5 stars though just due to how unintuitive the software is to use, even if it does seem to work. There are no guides I can find on how to use the software, no extra info popup when you hover over any button in the Sofware, etc. I am forced to look at reddit posts where people have discovered some of the functionality and are sharing it with others. It's just a shame, because it seems like the developers for the software did a decent time with the actual functionality, but either didn't have time or weren't paid enough to do the proper documentation and make a good user experience for it. Great keyboard, quieter than most gaming keyboards with each key press. It has a good amount of brightness to the keys and they feel comfortable to type on. Very portable and I would say the only issue I have with this is the fact it does not have any arrow keys for navigating but a mouse scroll or tab button can do some of what is not doable without keyboard arrows. For the price and for what this is, this is an excellent buy. For a beginner gaming keyboard this would be the first stop for price, but for function I think it would stay around a while also its so nice. I want to add it also comes with 4 extra key switches and a keycap puller so its a bit universal when it comes to adding custom keycaps or replacing parts. This is a good thing as a beginner using a 60% because the price won't hold you back from breaking it or replacing it either way but will give you experience using these size keyboards at a fraction of the cost. The case on this keyboard has some flex when twisted, but not an excessive amount, and despite that the overall board has a pretty decent heft to it. I'm guessing that is probably due to the sound dampening and gasket adding weight. The black shine-through keycap legends have a stenciled "gamer," and some also have additional white legends for secondary functions like the F-keys and changing the light settings. The Redragon "Dragon Chant" linear switches are a pleasure to type on, especially if you prefer linears. While they aren't as silent as some others on the market, they're definitely quieter than many of the alternatives. While I don't see myself switching to this keyboard for daily use (I much, much prefer larger layouts in the 90%+ range), I find it nice enough to type on that it might end up in the rotation for when I'm traveling or need something smaller and more portable. It's definitely a good buy and a nice introduction into the world of custom keyboards, especially at the current price ($37). Read more
Keyboard is very quiet and minmialistic, it has good RGB lighting design on the keyboard that shows very beautiful colors. This keyboard, though, lacks important keys such as arrow keys, which I need while typing to fix typos and errors. Without the arrow keys, it just makes it a bit harder to type anything with the keyboard, and I end up making errors. ' It makes up for it, though, with the FN function enabling extra keys, which is a nice addition compared to the most minimalist keyboards I have used. The software provided is great, it provides key assigning customization, macros, and RGB lighting effects. Overall a great decent keyboard but lacking arrow keys. Read more
