Excellent product, excellent value. Research indicated RedTiger F7NP was rated "#1 Dash Cam" per Consumer Reports. It arrived in 2 days, packaged with care with individual boxes, each clearly labeled to yield an easy install. A user manual & 'Quick Start Guide' helped, plus RedTiger YouTube videos gave added details on how to install cameras and conceal power cables along the area narrow area between the front windshield and the interior roof of the vehicle, then down the passenger front panel to reach the cable to plug in to the cigarette socket. Another video showed how to attach the rear camera and its separate cable. They provide a tool and mini clips to do it. It worked great! I especially like RedTiger's Customer Oriented, honest attitude in the manual: "There is no perfect product, but we will do our best to make sure you are happy with our products and service." Yes, they do. I had a little issue connecting the wifi, (it kept connecting to my 'home' wifi, but this was my error, not a problem with the product). A friend helped me connect to the RedTiger wifi (yay!) I recommend this product. Well done, RedTiger. Thank you. Read more

We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility. Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle. Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it's a long up-hill battle to get the other party's insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it's serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately! Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others: They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell. Software updates. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added. Proof in the pudding: We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too. Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I'm only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices. Read more

Very impressed with the video quality — footage is crisp and clear both day and night, and all the functions work as advertised. I have mine hardwired for continuous recording, which is great, though I do think the maximum recording limit should be unlimited rather than capped at 48 hours. However, this camera does not seem well-suited for hot climates. After about a month in my car, it started glitching and freezing, and the screen often goes black when the weather is very hot. At first it only happened occasionally, but recently it’s been happening more frequently. The deal-breaker for me was when my car was hit while parked and I couldn’t retrieve any footage from the dash cam because it had frozen the day before. I had to rely on my building’s security cameras instead. Great image quality, but reliability in high heat has been a serious issue. Read more

I installed the camera around a year ago now, and I've been using it everyday since. it provides me great peace of mind to know that all of the crazy things that happen on the road are documented in case of emergency. (although I'm happy to report that I have never needed the camera video for legal reasons 🤞). anyway, the camera has been absolutely Rock solid through thick and thin. I remember it being quite easy to install in my relatively old car, and it's just been totally reliable even in freezing cold and super hot weather. shout out to the people on the engineering team for making something so widely, durable and reliable. that being said, the picture quality is certainly acceptable, although I wouldn't categorize it as anything super high res. for the most part it's enough to capture license plates and that's the main thing I care about. transfer speed isn't great to my phone but you can always just take out the SD card. I appreciate having options. overall good camera 👍 also, I totally recommend doing the install where you hook it into the car power system so it knows to turn off and it automatically pulls the power from the relay.
