I am always on the hunt for new, high quality and nice looking shorts. I live in Georgia, so wearing shorts is almost a year round thing here with the exception of a few weeks in the winter. I walk, exercise, and play softball and basketball in shorts so I really can never have too many shorts in my closet. There are a few preferences I have for all of the shorts I buy. They must be machine washable, comfortable and soft to the touch, and have an elastic waistband. These Reebok Distance shorts meet all of these requirements so I was excited to order them in heather black. When I opened the package, the black heather color looked really nice. The stitching on the elastic waistband feels very strong and sturdy. The material is 100% polyester, is very lightweight and seems to do a great job of wicking moisture away from the body. A really cool safety feature on these shorts in that the Reebok logo on the leg is actually reflective, as is another reflective strip on the leg. This is great to have in case you are out walking or running at night, the reflective strips will shimmer in the light of a car’s headlights. Finally, these shorts are machine washable. Washing them on cold and drying them on medium or low heat will preserve the material and color longer, and will keep the reflective strips in working order. At only $20 these shorts are an amazing value. Being able to get something as high quality as Reebok for this price is very unusual in this age of inflated prices. Sizes on these shorts range from small and go all the way up to XL, although the waist band can probably accommodate an XXL waist without issue. I will be getting plenty of use out of these this spring and summer. I would highly recommend these to everyone. One last thing – there are pockets on these shorts too, so you can walk your local trail without having to hand carry your keys or phone. It starts with a unique texture and look I haven't seen before on shorts, definitely giving sports wear style to them with the dotted and lined design around the short, the inside is the same except it blends in more as to where the outside has darker accents to the grey. Feel & texture wise they feel soft and actually have some thickness to them. The waistband is elastic and has an extra sport loop style design so it grips my waist better and stays closer without having to tie the rope on the inside. They're comfortable, and breathable and frees up some air around my legs, and it does help that they're kind of baggy in that sense. The fit is ok; I got a medium which I usually wear with everything. They're VERY wide and have lots of stretch to them, they go down to exactly the center of my knee which I like for running shorts but the width was surprising to me so do note that they run wide which I would say is intended because the waist fits exactly how I want it to. The logo is reflective as well as the line on the split at the sides. Biggest stand outs to me is the comfort and coziness while still being activity focused and I feel comfortable wearing this for anything. Read more
I have been using these running shorts for workouts and casual wear, and they have been a great addition to my activewear. I'm glad I have the opportunity to try these shorts out. I've got a few pairs of similar shorts from Reebok. I do go up a size as I find these run a little small. I almost universally buy size L boxer briefs for reference. The XL sits on my waist nicely, not at all snug, but also not going to fall off. The drawstring is a rounded cord with a very nice plastic caps on each end which are embossed with the Reebok logo. They have some reflective bands at the bottom of the shorts, positioned on the outside of the legs for added safety when out at night. They are a little on the lightweight side, so breathable and good for warm days. There is a small, zippered security pocket which will work great for keys when you want to go for a run. The fabric has a nice patterned texture on the outside while on the inside is quite smooth. It also includes two full pockets, as most shorts do. I like to wear these for pretty much anything around the house, and to the gym. Read more
These are great quality shorts that fit perfectly. The inseam hits at a comfortable length, not too long, not too short, and works well for running, gym workouts, or just casual wear. The fabric feels durable and well-made. It has a nice weight to it without being heavy or restrictive, and it moves with you during activity. The fit is true to size and comfortable. The waistband sits well without digging in, and the shorts don't ride up or bunch during movement. I've worn them for workouts and found them to be breathable and comfortable throughout. They wash well and maintain their shape and color after multiple washes. For the price point, these are excellent shorts. Reebok delivers on quality here, they feel like they'll hold up to regular use without falling apart or fading quickly.
