The jacket was shipped long before the expected date. It fits very good, I took the advice of others and ordered a size larger then I normally wear. The vents on the jacket work very well, great jacket for the price. The only downfall is the way the liner is attached. other then that I would recommend this jacket, it looks good, feels good when riding and smells like leather should. A clean conservative motor cycle jacket Read more
I’m 5’9”, 185lbs and bought both the L and XL. (I usually wear XL) If I was planning on wearing this jacket with the liner and a layer underneath the XL fit fine, but I have cold weather leathers. I returned the XL and for Summer with no liner and just a tee shirt this jacket is perfect for me. It’s not baggy which is good going 70mph and the vents should prevent the balloon effect while still giving me some road rash protection if the unfortunate happens. The leather is not thick compared to a ‘true’ M/C jacket but it is just right for my purpose. It was less than $9.00 for returning fee so I don’t understand the complaints there. Recommended. Buy it for what it is. Read more
The jacket fits nicely, has nice functionality, seems to be constructed well, looks sharp..... But don't be fooled. This is NOT a real motorcycle jacket. This is a fashion jacket. The leather is so thin I feel like I could tear it with my hands if I wanted. I'm wearing a real riding jacket as I write this by River Road and it feels like armor. This Reed jacket cost me $186 but my River Road jacket cost me $40 used in mint condition. If you want a sharp and well-made fashion jacket for mild weather this Reed unit will fit the bill. It does look good, but that's about it. I have a sneaking suspicion the Chinese company The Jacket Maker made it for Reed. I'd return it but I hate doing that. I'll bite the bullet and pretend it's awesome. Read more
I wore the XLT jacket for the first time December 8th, for a motorcycle ride, with temperatures in the upper 40's. When I put the jacket on with a long sleeve shirt, it felt a bit snug but I like it that way. It felt very comfortable riding. The sleeves were past the wrist where my gloves were able to cover the sleeves. The neck warmer attached to the jacket was a bit stiff but I believe it loosen up over time. Seems like it's worth the cost. If you don't like the feel of a snug jacket, I would recommend going one size up. Read more
This was an anniversary present for my husband, and he's never had a leather jacket. This is so attractive on him. It fits true to size, so pay attention to the jacket sizing and order accordingly. The zip out lining is an added bonus. Truly a 3 seasons jacket. He loves it. Read more
Well made jacket in a classic style. Leather is soft, and the vents and removable lining make the jacket perfect year-round. Read more
Based on the reviews, I took a chance on this as an entry-level jacket for motorcycle riding. For $100, I'm not disappointed. As others noted, it had a strong scent out of the box. Like mothballs. I let it air out both in the garage and on my screened porch for about a week, and I've had it on a couple of hour-long rides, and it still has a little of the smell. Hopefully it will go away in time. Other than that, the quality is very good. The leather is thick, the zippers seem pretty solid, and the vents work great. The collar hits my neck a little awkwardly in one spot, but I'm hoping that improved over time as I break it in. The reflective piping isn't that noticeable in daylight, but I did notice that it looks like it is rubbing off in a few spots. I ordered the medium because that was the closest available option to my size. I'm a 40 regular in a suit jacket, and the medium is a little snug. A t-shirt fits fine underneath (with the liner of the jacket removed) and I think it's a good fit for riding, but it would be tight for everyday wearing. Overall I think it's a great jacket for the price and I'd definitely buy it again knowing what I know now. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. Read more
