Unheated Garage, 3+ Months of Michigan Winter, Couldn't Have Done Without It!

MuhammadMay 22, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I am a DIYer and BMW Enthusiast/mechanic. In December of 2024, on a cold Michigan morning, I started a project I've never done before. I decided to dissaemsble the engine bay and undercarriage of my Diesel BMW X5, with no prior experience outside of oil changes, minor repairs and brake jobs. And it was done in my 1/2 uninsulated, unheated attached 2-Car home garage. For 3 months, with temperatures and windchill sometimes below 0 F°. No heater was invested in because the suit made a heater in he garage obsolete. Personally speaking. I also used the suit in freezing cold wet conditions during that time to detail and wash parts at Self Serve car washes at 3 AM. I watched water freeze in seconds but didn't feel the cold anywhere my suit covered me and regardless of how wet it was, the suit stayed feeling unfrozen and barely damp. It dries fast, cleans up nice. My suit is still as blue as it was and has survived and washed many coolant, fuel, oil, and garage floor spills, stains and grime. A single packet of Arm and Hammer, and a gentle wash cycle following the washing and drying instructions makes taking care of it easy! Excellent mobility, compared to having previously layering up with bulky jackets, hoodies and multiple pants. This suit is day and night difference in mobility. I feel like a paratrooper in this suit ready to airdrop on a broken tank needing repairs in Russian winter! XS fitting is the only reason I spent good money on this suit and they are the only ones to provide this size in this level of warmth, quality and aesthetic. The XS size fits me well, no shortness on my arms or legs, and good roomyness at torso with options to "snatch" the waist for a nice fit around waist. Never sags on me regardless of how many tools I have in the massive pockets. Collar goes up nice and high past my neck when I need it to and looks stylish when down. Zippers are great, one broke off during wash and sometimes a torso pocket gets snagged. But they are quality zippers, durable and strong. Best ones are the side zippers running the length of the legs, let's me easily reach into my pockets under the suit on my pants and hoodies. They also make it easy to slip the suit on over clothes quickly. The two top torso pockets are shallow, get in the habit of zipping them cuz they can never keep stuff in the torso pockets, bend over just a little bit and everything will fall out. Pockets are huge, and there's even bavk pockets, one with a zipper. There's a loop for a carabiner and even pockets and one with a zipper on the arms. I love this suit, I plan to add some patches and get a nice rack to hang it on. Read more

Good quality, lots of pockets, sizes run large enough to wear clothing under it.

Excellent quality. The exterior feels tough. It feels warm and doesn't let the wind through. I am 5' 10'', 195 pounds. I ordered a size large, and it fits me loosely so that is very comfortable to wear by itself and leaves room for me to wear layers of clothes underneath it if needed. I went to the company's web site and followed the directions on taking my measurements and looking up my size on their charts and I am pleased with the result. It also has pockets everywhere for everything I could imagine carrying - two zippered pockets in the front; two unzippered pockets in the front; one zippered pocket in the back; one unzippered pocket in the back; and one pen pocket on the side. This is going to make anything that I do this winter much more pleasant since I won't get cold. I should have bought one of these years ago. Read more

Excellent design and quality.

I would give this zoot suit 6 stars if I could. It is like being in a different world altogether. Not only shoveling snow at home with great ease and comfort , but I landed an overhead power drop back in January in -6 degree weather. It is like getting in and out of your pajamas. There is a place for my phone and my beer. I cant wait to go ice fishing and show mobiling next winter. And jeeping in the snowy night. I am utterly pleased. The phone pocket is not big enough to zip closed with monster size phones but there are plenty of other pockets that work to keep your phone safe and dry. I would say to the maker to get that phone pocket about 25% bigger, on the next revision. It is packed away with my snow boots and winter gear now in storage (June). I will probably have the phone pocket enlarged by my dry cleaning / alteration lady. I am 58 years old and will probably have, use , and cherish, care for, this walk in suit for the rest of my life. I bought it to do that overhead electrical change over back in January. It is advertised as a walk in freezer cover alls work wear. Most of the other snow suits suck totally by comparison. The padding is perfectly distributed. It is comfortable. It has pleated sleeves that make your forearms very comfortable. It fits easily over snow boots and insulated rain boots. Read more

Good coveralls-Some suggestions.

Large-190lbs-6’- It is a great coverall, but: the zippers travel over the storm flaps and jam. Nightmare! I added tiny s-biners to the pulls to the drive the flap material away. The center two way zipper needs to extend down 2 more inches. Can’t get to my jeans fly very easy and it would make putting them on and off so much easier. Final suggestion: add a hanging loop to the back of the neck area. I’m keeping them. They are good. Read more

Comfortable, lightweight, and WARM!

KateTheGreatJanuary 26, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I've been using it to shovel snow in below zero weather, and it's just great. Lightweight, comfortable, and warm. These are NOT construction coveralls. I've got a set of those, as well (alas, as I grew older--I'm 76--my tummy grew out of them.) These are basically a snowmobile suit. That means they're not going to be as rugged. But for winter hiking, snow shoveling, that sort of thing, they're great! I'm not sure what to make about the people who complained about no slit to get into your pants pocket. Again, these are not work coveralls. I can unzip the top of the leg zipper and get into my pants pocket just fine, but I grant it's not quite as quick as the side slit. I quite like the nylon cinch cord inside. I'm just a tad short for the large size, so it helps them hang right. The zipped-up turtle neck isn't real comfortable, I'm still figuring out how to adjust that to my headgear. Read more
