I'm so glad I bought this brace and not one of the more expensive ones sold on Amazon. I've had symptoms of CTS on my right hand for a month before it dawned on me what was happening. Within hours of wearing this brace the numbness, tingling, and burning pain stopped, and I had my first symptom free sleep in a month! Another reviewer mentioned that the thumb hole opening needs to be larger for more comfort, so I took her suggestion and cut 3 tiny slits in the thumb hole opening and that relieved the pressure at the base of my thumb. I also found that when I close the bottom of the brace first (around the wrist), then close the top next (around the fingers), it fits and feels better. I don’t know if it actually fixes the pain of carpal tunnel because the pain of the thumb-hole is Worse. Absolutely horrible. I woke up to a purple thumb and it had almost broke skin. I bought this to help with carpal tunnel during pregnancy . I put it on last night before bed. It smelled so bad I couldn’t stand it. The metal support seems to be removable. I’m going to wash it and see if the smell goes away. It smells like chemicals. Read more
