I wear a size 16 in jeans. I purchased this skirt in a size 16. It fits well and is flattering to my figure. This word has been used several times to describe this skirt and I'm going to use it again: "stretchy"- this skirt is very "stretchy" and elastic for extreme comfort when walking and moving how you want to walk or move. Because of the skirt's elasticity- could I have gotten a size 14? My answer is probably...but my jean size of 16 fits me so well and the fit and comfort is so great that I have no regrets about getting this skirt in the same size that I get my jeans in. I'm going to get a few more colors because I'm so very happy with this skirt. Read more
I have been looking for a comfortable Jean skirt that wasn’t a mini nor maxi and lucked up with this one. It is so comfortable and does have some stretch if needed but fits perfect. It’s not stiff material which is the biggest plus for me. I am 5’8 and it hits right at the knee. It only took a couple of days to ship. Can’t go wrong with this purchase. Read more
The style of the skirt is exactly what I was looking for. Good length as I am 5'10 and most skirts are too short. I ordered a bunch of these, all in same size but different colors and some of the colors I re-ordered for fit. I ordered 2 charcoal (whisker) as the color will go with a lot of my tops. The first one I received pulled to one side, making the front seam look awkward and not straight. The second one I ordered was much better, so I kept that one. I ordered all the dark colors and the stone washed. One of the black ones didn't fit, I couldn't pull it over my hips. These were all same size (4) and felt more like a size 2. The other dark wash had the same seam in the middle problem. I ordered 3 in the stone wash, love that color! The first one that arrived had the same problem with the seam, even more than any of the others and it looked like a diagonal seam. When you hold it up, you can see that it wasn't sewn right, with one panel too large compared to the other. The other two were much better and I kept one of those. None of them were perfectly sewn. The lighter grey one (charcoal) has a slightly off waistband, but since I am not planning to tug in any shirts, it is okay. The stone version is better, but still slightly off. I have decided to keep those two though as the fit itself is great, the length hard to match for a taller person and I love the flat waistband/pull on style. I had bought a 'normal' jeans skirt last season and the bulge of zipper and button always bothered me. I ordered a 'Jag jeans' denim skirt elsewhere (zappos) which is shorter and a bit looser, but have decided to keep that one as well as it is perfectly sewn. For this skirt, I would gladly pay double the price without that seam issue. I would order them in every color as well. Read more
I have loved everything I have bought from Rekucci. High quality, comfortable, stretchy, flattering. Read more
I've shopped for a denim skirt in a number of different stores over the past year but could not find one that worked for me. I've been reluctant to try to buy one on-line due to my problems with fit. I'm so glad I finally decided to give this one a try after reading the reviews. I'm not a curvy girl, so skirts that fit my waist tend to be baggy in the hips. This one fits my hips perfectly without being tight in the waist. The length is also exactly what I wanted, hitting me just below the knee. The material is very soft, and it still looks, fits, and feels great after being washed. I can highly recommend giving it a try. Read more
Great fit for this curvy lady. I ordered a 16. Cute but still age appropriate for a woman pushing 60. It's a little long for me because I'm 5'4. But because it's a step-in and there's no zipper, I can roll over the waistband comfortably without bulk and it hits me perfectly just above my knees. Read more
I ordered my usual size, which is a ten. The waist fit pretty well, but the skirt was cut for a body that hasn't much of a curve between the waist and the fly. It's basically a very tight pencil skirt. So, you might want to order a size up? For the record I am 5'6" and weigh between 145-150 and while I am not hugely curvy, I do have a significant difference between the seat and waist. (And, I'm old. LOL) The fabric is very thick and robust, and while stretchy is perhaps a little too thick? It felt a bit like a girdle from the 1960s, and that's aside from the fact it was too overall small for me. Other than that, I very much liked the style--a fake front zipper so your clothing lies flat is key. I think this is worth trying if you want that feature. Read more
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect jean skirt for a while. I’m 5’2”, 115lb, I’ve had three babies so I have a bit of a belly pooch. This skirt hits at my preferred length (mid knee cap), which is a big win for a short girl! I got a 4 which fit perfectly, although slightly smaller than skirts I have from name brands like Gap and Banana Republic. -Wide waist band is flattering (minimizes my pooch!) -Pull on style eliminates bulk in the mid section - perfect weight: not to thin or thick -perfect stretch: no panty lines but enough to be very comfortable - doesn’t confine my knees when I’m walking -REAL pockets! That lay flat -Hugs curves without being too tight on my rear -A lot cuter than it looks in the photo Other brands I’ve tried were bulky in the midsection- which was super unflattering. Ezteez is good, but more expensive, the “short length” is still long, and didn’t have real pockets. The only thing I wish is that they had more colors. Read more
