This is a great dress if you’re looking for comfort and style. I’m a size 14 and ordered an XL - it fits well and has nice tummy control. I wore a one piece body slimmer underneath to ensure there were no panty or bra lines. Please note the v-neck tended to gap open - this is my only complaint - so I kept tugging it to ensure my bra wasn’t showing. It was bad - at one point a friend made a comment. But a few stitches will ensure it won’t happen again - a decorative pin will also do the trick. I got the purple and it was a pretty periwinkle color - not a super bright grape color. This dress is much nicer than I expected. The wrinkle resistant fabric is light & breathable, but has stretch (like spandex). It seems well constructed and fits perfectly. The “tummy control panel” is NOT all its cracked up to be, but provides a little bit of a slimming effect. Better than that, is the ruching around the waistline which hides “a multitude of sins.” This dress would be great for traveling in long distance (by car or plane) to an event when you don’t have time to change clothes before the party. If you have boobs and are plus-sized (I am 40DD and size 18), drop the chest "v" about 5 inches on the model and open it another 3 inches to each side. In short, the girls will be busting out. I am 5'3" and so the skirt sat about 1-2" beneath the knees. In short: too busty on top, too frumpy and loose on bottom. Waist was really nice, though! I will try a minimizer bra, a pin on the chest, and adjust the rouching to shorten the skirt, but I expect I will return this. Overall, I would not recommend both this and the brand's 3/4 sleeved "women's" size 18 (I also got the 3/4 sleeve "plus-sized" dress in size 18 for comparison) if you are under 5'5" tall and over a C-cup. The dress itself seems like a well made garment. I ordered a 14 because that is what they said would work best based on my past purchases. It was so tight that I sent it back expecting the 16 to be perfect. It was still too tight on the waist. Hoping the 18 will work! I don't wear an 18 in anything!! Update! The 18 still had a weird flare where the seam comes together at the hips. Sent it back too! Read more
