The clothes are fantastic! Great quality. I think my son will get plenty of use out of this beyond spirit week at school. The hat was pretty badly crumpled. I worked it back into shape, used clothes pins to hold it, and steamed it. I also cut a paper plate to fit into the top to stiffen the top of the hat so it will sit flat. I let it sit with the pins overnight and it was much better in the morning. He said the wig is uncomfortable "I feel like I have a bunch of spiders on my head!" so that will just be for pictures. It's also hard to get the hat to fit over the wig. But overall it's a great costume! The elastic waistband makes it pretty comfortable. Read more

Such a great costume! I ordered this for my daughter for her 5th grade American Revolution presentation. She’s 4’10 and 72 lbs and the 59 inch costume fit her perfectly. My 5th grader, wore this to a play his school was doing on colonial America. The costume comes with a hat, wig, coat (the coat is all one piece, with the vest-like fabric attached to it), pants, and the boot-like leg covers. There is no shirt or shoes that come with the costume. Specific details: -Hat: the hat is of a thick material, and with shipping, it arrives squished. I used a steamer to soften it up a bit and get it into the right shape. Also, FYI, the hat doesn't fit very well if you also put the wig on. So I just included it all for the picture, but he decided not to wear the wig. -Coat: It's a beautiful coat, great quality for a costume. I used a steamer to get all the wrinkles out. -Pants: very basic costume pants, can be ironed with a regular iron. -Leg covers: same material as the hat. They have a velcro that goes from top to bottom, so you put them on and take them off by doing/undoing the velcro. I used the steamer to soften them and remove the wrinkles. This is the reason why I knocked off a star, these leg covers are very narrow. My son has very skinny legs to begin with and they were tight on HIM, so I could just imagine how they probably wouldn't fit on an average-sized kid. The coat is stunning! The coat is so nicely made it made this purchase worth the money. The blue color is rich and the fabric is velveteen feeling. I like it so much I'll probably keep it as a keep sake for my son. My child wore this for his 5th grade presentation and it was a hit. However, the hat comes flattened and wrinkled and the wig is a big wild with curls on top (think Einstein). The pants came home from school with the fabric torn and pulled from the velcro of the boots tugging at the fabric of the pants. I ordered a hat and a wig from another listing before ordering this costume and was happy I did for a more structured hat and flatter hair. Read more

The jacket is fairly well made and the material is nicer than I thought it would be. Hat came completely crumpled and I am trying to reshape it so it is useable. The fake boots are cheesy- but there is no set from any company that ever isn’t so I can’t fault this company. The product is fine and will work for my son’s project and Halloween costume. If I weren’t getting two uses out of it I’d say it was not worth the price. Read more

My son needed this for revolutionary day at school. I ordered a few costumes and this one came first. This one is by far the best really good quality materials, especially on the jacket vest combo. The hat and wig are a little lacking, but I don’t mind because the rest is so well-made. It comes with a little knicker chief to fold boot looking bra or things some pants and a jacket with a built-in vest. Nice buttons on it and fits my very tall 11-year-old well. Well constructed and looks nice, I will just need to press it and possibly get a new wig. Read more

This costume was easily one of the top 2 in my daughter's class. The only part that didn't work was the "boots" --> the material was nearly too tight on my daughter who has very thin legs, but these can be swapped out for any type of boot you may already have. The outfit: The details, perfect stitching, quality of fabrics, REAL buttons, fit, etc. were EXCELLENT. This is one of the best costumes I've ever purchased, and it will be donated to the class. It has enough coverage that you don't need to buy any special shirt to wear under it. It won't show. The wig: it serves its purpose. It's a little thin, but it does the job just fine. The hat: this was slightly wonky just because it's flattened during shipping. But, it's just fine. Sizing: we bought boys 10-12 and it fit my daughter (90+ lbs, 5ft 1, very thin). Read more
