I don’t know exactly what negative reviewers are referring to as “RX bottles” and “medicine bottles from the drug store,” but I’ve managed to open every CVS prescription bottle that I’ve considered opening with a hacksaw. I wonder if they aren’t aware of the need to press down while rotating the opener. It also helps to put the bottle on the sticky red circle that comes in the kit to keep the bottle firmly in place. I purchased this for my sister-in-law who has had MS for many years and as she gets older, she has more and more difficulty with things as simple as a pill bottle and has to ask my brother or her children for help I gave this to her and so far she has had great success with it And keeps it in the side drawer by her kitchen table so that when she gets the new bottle she can simply open the stuff up with little effort, so it has been a successful present.
